Be carful of what gas An gas stations you use, but, either way no matter how well you keep this truck up, the Cadillatic converts are going to go out after 80,000 miles! $2000 in repairs. I have had two of these trucks so far An both of them needed converters around the same time. They are nice but they begin to have problems after 80,000miles or less! My friend truck has the same problem! This should be a recall situation because clearly this is a manufacture problem!

Do Not Buy an Infiniti SUV - Here's Why

The entire value proposition of this vehicle is way off. The costs of ownership are just ridiculous for all infinitis, especially the SUVs. First they are noisy. On the inside. Very much so on the outside. Second, infiniti and Nissan have terrible brakes. They're just bad. You will end up replacing them faster with the SUV. In 20,000 or less. Third, it guzzles gas. Maybe it gets 70% of its low estimate. Four, cost of ownership. Lose a key fob? $500. One of the door locks broke, they want $2,000. The front seat motor breaks, $1500. This is on a car with 54,000 miles on it. None of it is covered. I wouldn't take another one of these cars if it was free. The cost of ownership is ridiculous.

I am picking up our 2012 QX today. When we drove the car we couldn't believe how comfortable, powerful, and well-designed it is. I'll update this review as we own the car but am excited that we bought it, CPO with 45k miles on it, for less than the cost of a new 2015 Ford Explorer Sport or Ford Expedition XLT. To compare this vehicle to Fords, Chevy Tahoe LTZ, GMC Yukon, or 2010'ish Escalades is on-par with the point for the segment and this vehicle appears to be heads/tails above the rest in terms of refinement, power, and MPG.

I had a 2008 Mercedes GL 550 that was unfortunately totaled because of water damage that happened to the electronics. While I miss the acceleration and cornering of the Mercedes, I love the comfort and features of the QX56. I bought mine for $26,400 with 104K on it a few years ago, and just crossed 156K yesterday. No maintenance outside of brakes and oil changes until recently...rear air suspension failed. I guess that is to be expected for a 10-year-old vehicle that is frequently overloaded with people, luggage and a Thule on the roof rack. We live in CT and drive round trip to MN twice per year very comfortably with 3 kids and 2 big dogs. The sound system, Bluetooth and adaptive cruise control are all very nice features that were ahead of their time in 2011. I can only assume the newer models are even better. We also like the 22" wheels and the heated/cooled front seats, as well as the heated captain's chairs. My only regret is not getting the split bench, as the middle console is an obstacle when I want to fully load the car with stuff instead of people. Also, split bench allows for a total of 8 passengers instead of 7. Acceleration is not phenomenal, but is adequate for such a huge SUV. Finally, the 360 view all around the vehicle is great for both safety (not running over my dogs) and parking. My only minor complaint is that the high beams are a little weak on country roads compared to the more powerful lights on our Mercedes and our prior Range Rover. It's August 2022 and my QX is still going strong. A minor surface rust spot has emerged on the back door, and the starter went out at 161,000. I plan on driving this vehicle until it hits 200K at least. Maybe longer, as we have a G37x Sport sedan with 293K miles and it still drives fine.
