Love it, but CONSTANTLY in the shop.
Car is BABIED, and yet at only 25k miles I've had to put her in the shop nearly every 3 months for something major. It never ends. Had to replace numerous speed censors, the entire flywheel/clutch assembly, complete transmission change-out (mine is a 6- speed manual, that suddenly gave out a couple weeks ago), and sunroof control, along with ongoing minor annoyances like constant blown fuses from stock wiring issues. Ridiculous. I love this car to death and take such good care of it.. but every time I turn around I'm running into major work that needs to be done on her. Having bought her used, I only get the 60k mile warranty, so I might SELL her before then! Yikes.
hmm
I drive my tiburon REALLY HARD. and for the last 8 months its been taking it great. ive gone thought 2 sets of tires and tones of gas but i love the car. the V6 dose sound a little under powered when you hear 175 hp but it can do a hell of alot with that 175 deff a great car looks geat and very easy to tune up. stage 2 assains supercharger with ice box and exshust plus a few other things can push you up in the 500 hp area.

Tiburon V6 in Oz
Value for money, fit for purpose, fun to drive. If you enjoy tearing up $ bills so you can convince friends and relatives you earn more money than they do (sometimes not true), you won't enjoy the Tiburon. It's not perfect (or rather not perfectly balanced - bit too heavy, and a bit too much torque steer), but it's a car that really does try to deliver what you want of it.
Great Car
I owned first generation Tiburon when it came out in 97 and I still own it. I now have the 2006 Tiburon GS model and love it even more everything about it, is great.
gt 2006
2nd tib, needs more after market stuff. i am waiting for a turbo modle or supercharged from the factory. i like its handling and proformance but is lacking the responce i desire. i am trying to figure out how i can make it rear wheel drive, that makes me look at the 350's engine and drive train. and comments?
SWEEEEEEET!!!!!!!
I love this car and everyone should to. This car is excellent and respondes well to intake exaust and all the other upgrades you can think off
Love my tibby
I love this car. I was in the market for a mazda and they wouldn't come down on the price so i went and test drove my tibby and fell in love. To get a car with power windows and locks and all for $18000 u can't beat that. I was looking for something sporty that i could fix up performancewise and make my own and it is really easy to do that with this car.
I'm in love
I was initally in the market for an Eclipse, but then I saw the Tiburon and thought that it looked like something I might like to be seen in. I must say, that I love this car. It reminds me so much of my Mazda that I foolishly got rid of, the gear shitfs, handling and "zip" are amazing, and with the way gas is now, after going back and forth to work, two weeks later - I still have yet to get gas...that is now one of the best reasons to buy this car.
Tiburon is FUN!
The car handles well. It compares to a 1988 300Z that I bought new. The GS that I bought has only the 2.0 4cyl, but is spunky enough to be a blast. I decided to cut costs by getting the small engine at lower initial cost and better fuel mileage. I do not regret that decision
I LOVE MY TIBBY!
Hope I'm not jinxing myself here, but I've never had a bit of problems with my Tibby! She's always there when I need her...totally reliable. Will definitely buy and recommend Hyundai autos again. With their 100,000 mile warranty, Hyundai just can't be beat!
