This is a two-seater car. The "rear seat" is for lower insurance rates and gym bags. I'm glad they fold down though. You can easily fit four 16" wheels with 225/60 tires in the back with room to spare. The rear wiper helps to see behind and when backing up in rain and snow. Beware with 05, don't know why it was discontinued for 05. Holds corners pretty well considering its smooth ride. I've had mine for 13 months and put 20K miles on it. 2004 GT V6 6-spd with leather, ABS, moonroof, 360W sound with subwoofer. The 04 GT V6 was the only Tiburon that I could get the leather seats, 6-spd man trans, upgraded sound system with subwoofer, high spoiler, aluminum pedals all in one package. Great car.

I love almost everything about this car but it seems to hate my guts. Bought it with about 90,000 miles on it and after about 6 months the problems started happening. New Clutch, New Timingbelt, was modified with a coldair intake before my purchase and had no cover so it would suck up water when it rained and the check engine light would pop on, front gas pipe leak, front and back oil valve seepage, cover on the moonroof broke, rear window washer broke, driver side window broke, etc. Basically it needs massive repairs every 1-2 months. Not sure if its just a lemon or not because I constantly have different mechanics telling me what great shape it's in and how clean the engine is.

New for 2003 and they can only get better. This is my thrid Hyundai Coupe and by far the very best that I have ever driven. I can down to the Hyundai and the RSX Type S. I choose the smoothness of the V6 all day long.

In a field of cars that is vastly growing, the Hyundai Tiburon stands out in a crowd. I bought the GT-V6 6- speed manuel as my new car. Let me say that althought this car has its flaws, I believe that it's the best Sport Coupe on the market. With everything you would ever need, a pumping sound system, 170 bhp engine which is great and it still has room to go much higher. This is a great car for customizing.

Everyone interested in cars looks at this model and admires it. Took a trip on the open road ran it between 70 - 80 mph and gas mileage was 20 mpg. Not great but not too bad. Problem with headlights going to hi beam and then shutting down all in a split second. So far the dealer can't seem to find the problem.naturally, it happens very INTERMITENTLY....

Bought the car, ran great until i hit about 70000 miles. Engine spun a bearing. Had to replace engine even after following all of the manuf. recommendations and what not had reg oil change proofs and what not. Called hyundai usa (which is a joke) The car cost me $17000 dollars $4000 engine work went through 4 engines in 6 months I never once beat this car or anything I treated it like gold. My 2 year old and I used the vehicle to commute. cost me $3000 when I traded it in. Hyundai will never get a penny from me they are a rip off!!! Don't ever buy any Hyundai!! Friends owned and agree.

After having a Mits. Eclipse GST for the last 7 years, I was very hesitant to get the Tiburon. Then my husband drove me home a loaded blue standard Tiburon GT with leather and 17" tires in a snow storm, no less, because it was time to retire the old girl(Eclipse). I freaked!!! After the weather settled, I started noticing all of the stares I was getting on the road. I was even getting asked about my car every time I went to the drive-up at the bank. It took a little time adjusting, just slight differences, but now I am very satisfied. It's a HOT car that looks SWEEEET, and it didn't kill my pocket$$.

I traded-in a 1998 Jaguar XJR for this car. The Jag experience was awful. This car on the other hand, has been a joy. I still love to drive it after a year of ownership. It looks great. It drives great. For the money you can not go wrong. I added some aluminum trim rings to the round dash vents and fuel/temp guage to brighten-up the dark interior. One thing that bugs is first gear. Can't get enough traction. Limited-slip diff would make a big improvement.

I love this car. I am completely happy with it in every aspect. It's nice to both drive and look at, especially if you ad the Korean, Tuscani badging. The only thing is I feel like I'm always filling up with gas when using it in the city. I seem to get great highway fuel economy.

i have had alot of problems with it first problem was the door seal then the rear window seal then my window motor quick workin then my trunk wouldnt open and the biggest problem was that it was quiting it would start up and run for about 5 seconds then stall out and it would do it 4 times before it would run but i had to take it to the shop about 4 times for that problem and they finally got it fixed said that it was the fuel i was using and that you shouldnt use high test gas in the v-6 that it was tuned to use 87octane but so far so good well see though

I love my Tibby. I have gotten so many great comments on it. I did have a lot of trouble with the power windows, but I think it had more to do with the certain dealership I had been taking it to. Overall, I love my car, especially the body style. It's so fun to drive, and I feel like a million bucks while I'm in it.

It's not a manual 6 speed GTS Celica but, I think it's a great car. Hyundai has done a great job not only with styling but, with performance as well. This car is fantastic for those who like quick starts and cruising with a nice rumbling sound. The duel exaust gives the car a very high priced look and again gives the engine a low bass rumble. To this day people still don't know what it is. People stare at it like as if to say, "What the hell is that?" Thanks, T. J.

The tiburon is a cute, reliable, and fun car. The inside is very small and may be a problem for a tall person. I'm only 5'2", so it's fine for me. The only thing that bugs me about the car is that the washer fluid does not spray high enough. Other than that I love it.

I live in the city so I don't drive a lot. My car still looks new and I haven't had any problems with it. I get a lot of attention for the styling; people are always SHOCKED when they see that it's a Hyundai. My friends always refer to it as a "sports car". If I bought it again I would get the V6 in dark blue; the silver looks cool but shows dirt. Overall, I have absolutely no regrets on choosing this car. I did a ton of research before buying it and it is a fantastic value. They do honor the free roadside assistance agreement; I called once for a flat tire and another time for a dead battery.

This was my dream car. I have owned a total of 3 Hyndai's now and think that they are the most reliable cars made. I have never had a moments trouble with any of them and just keep upgrading until now thay I have bought my dream. The car handles beatuiful, I have now had to drive it in a few snow and ice storms and it handles beatuiful, with the 6 speed and lots of power the car is fun to drive.

I have owned my SE for almost 5 months and I have had no problems other than I drive it too much. Gas consumption could be better but other than that, this is the new car of the future. Looks like a luxury sports car, has all features come standard. Could use minor improvements but overall a best buy for anyone. People look at me like I'm in a Porsche. Go buy one for yourself.

I bought my Tiburon to serve as a daily commuter. The performance isn't overwhelming, but the V6 offers the torque delivery that makes the car feel much more relaxed on the freeway, and more responsive at the lights. The styling may make it look a lot more potent than it is, however, as it's not a fast car by any means. Notably, the rearward visibility in this car is low. It can be quite difficult to back out of spaces simply because you have to take a leap of faith to do it. Overall, I'm not disappointed. I test drove an automatic, which was incredibly slow. The manual was the better choice, in my opinion. I've had a few issues with it, but nothing excessive for a 6- year old car.

I bought a Tib 2003 on Nov 30th 2002, (sunroof, abs, v6, 5 speed, 18250 on the road) I have the hell of the time with the car, until I started to have problems with the clutch after only 8000 miles. I took it three times to dealer to get it fix, finally they replaced the whole part, but it was too late for me. I trade it on Dec 2003.

All around great car! I took a long time deciding what car to get. I looked at the Mini Cooper S, and the Acura RSX type-S, neither of which do I have bad things to say about. Just afraid the Cooper novelty would wear off, and didn't like paying extra for a spoiler and fog lights on the Acura. All of which led me to check out the Tiburon. So much car for significantly less money than the others. True, Hyundai doesn't have the same "Cachet" of the other nameplates, but I got what in reality is an equivalent car and kept more "Cash-A" in my pocket!

I actually bought a 2003 GTv6 model just as they were bringing in the 2004's, so i got a very good deal. I absolutely love my car; its fully loaded(leather, sunroof, anti-lock brakes, etc.)and i got it for just under 18k, before tax, tag, and title. Unfortunately, you might have to spend a couple thousand more to get comparable 2004, but its worth it. You absolutely will not find a better car in that class under 20k.

I purchased my tiburon used only a few months ago but I have wanted one since I first laid eyes on one 5 years ago. I was pleasantly surprised with most aspects of the car. Most notably the 6 speed manual is a lot of fun because of the gear ratios. Clutch is both intuitive and fun (very important to me). The front end lines of the car give you a great idea of where your car is but the back end is a little hard to judge. Labeled as 4 seats but really only two really comfortable seats. Im 6,2" and enjoy the driver seat very much. Mine was purchased with custom sound and exhaust so no comment. Fuel economy could be slightly better. **no car is as unique and low-key at the same time as this car**

I bought the Tiburon because of the looks and the warranty. I used to own a Hyundai Sonata 3.0 and was very pleased. Before buying the Hyundai's I owned 5 new US made cars and always had to return to the shop for warranty issues, not with the Hyundai's. The only time I go there is for the oil changes. Even that isn't expensive. I'll buy a Hyundai again!

I've now had my tiburon for 2 years, and I must say, overall I'm very impressed. I have modified this thing past the point of unrecognizable and it takes to every mod like a pro. Car has had some issues, (that are known by every tiburon owner) clutch design is a p. O. S as well as the dual mass flywheel setup. Look into a conversion kit for best results. Window motors are known to go bad as well as a alignment issue and syncros (which I have replaced under warranty) overall good handling, great sound from the motor when modified, good acceleration and excellent style. Sure theres little kinks but they had to cheapen some parts to bring such a sports car at such a incredible price.. A+ to Hyundai

Ive had my tibby for almost a year. it has 39,000 miles. Im pretty pleased with it, but for being a 4 cylinder "sports" car its pretty slow.. I tried racing my friend who has a very old crappy car and he kept up with me the whole time. i wish it was faster.. the only problems I had was a headlight going out and the tires seem to bald quickly. but the style is awesome. its a good little car for a small gal like me.

I loved it ever since I layed eyes on it. Mine is the Yellow S/E with the automatic trany. It's quick, but you really feel the power when you use the "sports shift." It's been hell though with the car, constantly taking it back to the dealer because of check engine light coming on after a month of owning it, (I bought it with 48 miles on it). It was just a silly emissions problem. Now today apx. four months later it's going back because the air bag light came on. It's silly problems that make the lights come on. Nothing major. I definitely would not bad mouth the car in any way. And it's pretty sad when you beat a Honda Civic that had all sorts of mods with your STOCK AUTOMATIC :)

People have asked who makes that sports car? It stands out and with the V6 6 speed trying to keep it at a reasonable speed is sure hard at times!

I am a dealer and have purchased all types of vehicles. When I bought this one I was just thinking about dollar signs and how quick it would be to sell to a racer boy. Although when I drove it back it had amazing pick up and stuck to the road with a lot of control. I have read some of the other posts and find it funny, this is a very fast car if you are skilled enough to shift it fast enough. The shifting is very smooth, HP is great, interior and exterior looks fabulous. The front end looks I don't really like although easily fixed with the right body kit. I come from a diverse family of vehicles from the G35 to the Pontiac GTO and by far this one is another keeper in my book.

I'm 17 years old and still in high school so I needed something kinda sporty that I wouldnt get made fun of but still wouldnt kill me with insurance and gas prices. So after a month I finally found the Hyundai tiburon. I've owned it about a month now and I love it. I love the way it handles and the purr of the engine (even with a inline four cylinder) when I start it up and it idles. I wish it could go faster than 130 mph but I'm not complaining. The interior is pretty sweet. It doesnt look cheap. The body style is pretty slick looking too. I get a lot of looks when im driving around town. Being in a city in North Dakota you kinda stick out with a sportier car.

I have had this automobile three weeks and noticed its comfort much better than my American made car. Good gas mileage too. Totally enjoyable car with great design.

This car attracted me from first git go.But was skeptical on first year car. BUT, Since I purchased it I dont regret it.The power is great {but not enough}. Recently owned an Acura Legend compared to that it is really close {except for the ride} The Tiburon is a little choppy and noisy on bad roads. The fuel mileage surprised me when I didnt hot dog it between 31 & 32 MPG around town 25 to 27. GREAT VEHICLE
