Used 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Consumer Reviews
Great SUV
We purchased this vehicle, used, about four months ago because my wife was expecting our second child and we needed more space. Because we haven't had it for very long, I can't comment on the reliability, but I can say that it has been a great vehicle for us so far and we love it. Pros: -Great interior. -The 2017 model adds Apple CarPlay (and the Android Equivalent) as standard. -Comfortable 1st and 2nd row seats (Haven't tried the 3rd row). -Handles well. -Great acceleration. -Excellent gas mileage. So, per the EPA this should get only 24 mpg highway, yet I frequently get over 28 mpg on the highway ....and I tend to drive fast. -Lots of space behind the 2nd row. (We can easily fit a stroller on one side with groceries or luggage on the other.). Cons: -With two car seats, the third row is basically inaccessible and there is not enough space in the second row for a normal adult to comfortably sit between them for more than a short ride. If you don't have infants or toddlers, this is a non-issue, though. -The drive control buttons (mode, AWD lock, ESC off, etc) are located behind the turn signal in a spot that you can't easily see. Granted, you probably won't be using these on a regular basis, at least not while driving. -Under specific conditions, the traction control will kick in when it doesn't need to. It's not a big deal but it can be annoying on occasion. -The AWD system is not as robust as some competitors like the Highlander. -In 2017, Hyundai dropped the heated seats as a standard feature.

Chocolate covered turd
Our 3rd Hyundai and just like the rest we couldn’t get 120k miles out of it. Very well maintained and engine blew up out of nowhere. Junk cars. Old case # 22522354, New case # 23420081 seems like a mighty big climbing number for such a great company right? Don’t make the mistake we did. We’ve been loyal Hyundai owners for 20years until our 2017 Santa Fe, blew up. Perfectly well maintained. My wife was driving down the road and no light no warning, engine locks up. I open a case and they say, we can’t do anything, but for 16,000 you can have a new motor installed. No help just the ole go play in traffic. So be warned, you will be disappointed. After further investigation I’ve found that there are a lot of issues with this engine. A lot of people stuck with a pretty yard ornament. A great testament to Hyundai and their vehicles 👍🏼

Rags to riches
I actually went to the dealership in the exact suv I was renting and bought the same model, color pretty much everything. The only difference is the rental wasn’t all wheel drive like the one I bought. This suv is getting better gas mileage than my rav4 which I find strange since the Santa Fe is a larger suv. This suv handles wonderful, the road noise is minimal, friends say they don’t even know I’m driving when I use the Apple CarPlay to make/take calls. The third row seating is a great feature along with the extra climate controls For the 3row. Can’t wait to take the Santa Fe on a camping trip. Looks like she will be able to hold all my glamping gear!

Love the Safety Features
I really liked my 2009, but this is even better. Real time navigation, 360 degree of car in reverse and slow drive. Blind spot warning.
