Nice little SUV

Wanted to purchase American but, Buick has to many problems, Ford are to expensive, Chevy has issues, Dodge is a disaster. So, went to the auto mall expecting to purchase a Honda, saw the smallest 2023 Mazda and test drove it was nice great interior. When I got out of the Mazda, I said what is that, salesman said a Kona, I said can I test drive it. I was so impressed, and when he told me about the warranty, sold. The base engine has plenty of power for me, all of the safety features and AWD that will lock in with a push of a button. I love everything about this small SUV, gave it a 4 star because there is a blind spot center front windshield. But with all the safety features it lets you know if a car is close to you, front, side, back. The ride for such a small SUV is remarkable, great value.

Kona N Rules / Update After 30,000 miles

2023 Hyundai Kona N 4dr SUV (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 8AM)

We were looking for a fun gas fuel vehicle to purchase did not want an EV and was open to a Hybrid but an ICE was our first choice before they are legislated out. It came down to a Hornet or the Kona N. The N is about $10k option over basic Kona and worth every penny. My wife always tells me how much fun the car is even after doing routine drive errands. It get 30mpg on the highway and will blow away most other cars on acceleration. A real hoot this car is, ride is firm like a Miata or Porsche with factory P Zero tires but pretty relaxed when fitted with all season tires. I definitely would buy it again they only made it two years 2022 and 2023 so a low mileage used one may be all that is available. * Udate; After 30,000 miles we still really enjoy the Kona N. It has been very reliable and it is still a joy to drive. Would buy it again. Quite a lot of fun and function at this price point.

If you love driving but don't want to break the bank. Look no further than the Kona N. It's all that and a bag of gluten free chips. Not for the timid or new drivers. Volkswagen GTI, Gr Corolla, and Civic type R vehicles are overpriced versions that offer similar performance. Stiffer suspension than I'd like but I'll live with it. The Kona N makes driving fun again!
