Used 2019 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Consumer Reviews
So glad I got this car.
I've had my Ioniq for a month now. Before the lease I had an 2017 Elantra and a 2008 Prius. There were things that I loved about each. Never did I ever think I would find it all in one car. The first thing that attracted me to the Ioniq was a $4800 rebate. Sweet since I will probably be doing a lease to buy! I don't like what Toyota has done with the design of the new Prius. And it is very cost prohibitive. The Ioniq has the classic look of the older Prius which I love. I'm getting 44 mpg which I believe it's really good for cold New England weather. I know it will be higher in the summer. Plus the car is still breaking in. It has a very comfortable driver's seat with lumbar support. Love the flat bottom steering wheel since I drive with the seat up high not having to move the seat to get in or out is great. With the 6 speed tranny I keep forgetting that I'm driving a hybrid. And it has much more power than my old Prius. Like having the Android Auto but it has the tendency to disconnect when using Google Maps. Love being able to do voice to text. One thing that I find weird for a hatchback is there is no rear wiper. What's up with that Hyundai? Also with the hatch design, i wish it was flat access and not well style. Is much more difficult having to lift stuff out of the back instead of being able to pull it straight out. The only thing I miss about the Prius is the numerous storage compartments. I loved the double gloveboxes in the Prius. The center consultant is way too small in the Ioniq. My criticisms of the Ioniq are minor. I'm in love with the car. Extremely happy with my decision to get this car.

The best hybrid
I absolutely love my car. The IONIQ is the first car I’ve ever purchased on my own and I couldn’t have asked for a better car. The IONIQ gets the best gas mileage out of any hybrid and its somewhat cheaper than any other hybrid as well. It gets a combined 57 mpg and gets around 650 miles on a full tank. It gets better gas mileage than the Prius(it’s competitor) and also has way more features for the same/less price. I would also argue that it looks a lot better than the Prius as well, but that’s simply my own opinion. The 2019 IONIQ has so many features that I love: blind spot detection, lane assist, apple/android car play, and much more. Aside from other reviews, I would say the IONIQ is very comfortable to drive and has really good handling. It also has LOTS of cargo room, especially for a compact car. I would highly recommend this car to anyone who is thinking of buying a hybrid. Hyundai gives a lifetime warranty on the battery for their hybrid cars, in case anyone was ruling out a hybrid in fear of the battery going out. I thought about buying an IONIQ when they first came out in 2017 but never got around to it, but I finally bought one in 2019 and I’m so glad I did!!

Great car so far. Gas mileage is phenomenal. 500 miles plus on first tank of gas.

I Love this car!
I have had my Ioniq since July of 2018. I Love driving it. Have 37,000 miles on it. I have averaged 56 mpg over the 20 plus months. But I do notice that the mileage drops about 15 to 20 percent when the average temperature is mid thirty’s or less. But I understand why. I can’t see out of my left eye and the blind spot outside mirror is GREAT.

Best Value in a Hybrid!
The Hyundai Ionic SEL gives you the most bang for your buck if you pick up the Technology package. The car rides very smoothly. This trim has all the safety features you could want on a car at a most reasonable price. The only negative is the split rear window makes it hard to see traffic behind you. This car even gives you Blind Spot Monitoring across all trim levels. How many other cars do that? If you're looking for a vehicle loaded with features you can't beat the Iionic!
