I have been looking for a new car for over a year and I pretty much drove them all in my price range.I first saw this car at a large auto show in town where it was drawing quite a crowd.I took it for a test drive the following week and was very impressed. It drives like my wifes Lexus but without the price tag.I did drive the Lexus is330 but liked the Hyundai better.

The Hyundai Azera not only has its' competition (Avalon, Ford 500, Montego, etc.) beat, but ES330, Caddy CTS, Infinity G35. I've never seen a car with so many safety, convenience, and performance features for such a low price. Add the warranty and you have the bargain of the year.

The car is great overall. I wish I would have opted for the 07, because of some upgrades they made to audio controls and mirrors, but I got a great deal on the 06. Power, luxury, warranty--can't beat it for $24K out the door. Comparable to a BMW or Cadillac in my opinion.

Less than a year ago I was carying on about my new KIA Amanti... that was than and this is now. The Azera is perhaps the best blend of quality, style, execution, performance and value ever offered to the American public. (a little over the top? I don't think so!) A handsome automobile, roomy and comfortable for thousands less than other makes that only meet, not exceed these levels of build-quality and manufacture. An awsome car that I'm proud to own.

To be honest, I initially hesitated. Now that I think of it Hyundai gets an undeserved bad reputation. I've owned mostly Toyotas (Lexus), but decided to take the leap of faith and tried the Azera. My experience has been good, if not exceptional. There have been no problems a month in. I have several members driving the car. The power is quite good, solid braking, and I love the interior. Because of my good experience I may consider the Equus when it comes out. I understand will be even higher end. I guess that car will compete with the heavy weight luxury vehicles. It would be an injustice to not test drive this if you are looking for entry level luxury

I have had mine for 3 1/2 years and love it. So far the only problem is a crack in the dashboard, which the dealer is replacing under the warranty. My brother bought the 2007 and his dashboard also cracked in the same place, on the passenger side where the airbag is located. Many owners complain about gas mileage but for its size 22mpg combined is not bad. I would highly recommend a Hyundai to anyone, its a good car and the company stands behind all of the models.

Unbelievabe interior and trunk room. Engine looks like work of art. Passing on highway is superb. Sound sytem is beter than many Japanese. Heated mulitple adjustment seats very supportive. Brakes are very reassuring. Fold down back seat and large trunk opening accomodate long wide items. Gas milage is always at 19 in city.

I was looking for a comfortable cruiser. It fits the bill as far as thats concerned. Very comfortable with impeccable fit and finish and the plastics used are first class with a very nice feel. Got the loaded limited. I had to have all the gadgets!. The leather is soft and supple. The interior ambience is classy and soothing. Has nice touches everywhere on and in the car and the heated seats work great. The wind deflector on the sunfoof is very noisy at speeds. Not impressed with the fuel economy so far averaging 18.5mpg. (The computer is way over optimistic in that respect informing me its 22!) Like the fact it uses 87 octane though. My first Hyundai. I like it

After doing some serious research I was narrowed to the Toyota Camry XLE, BWM 525 and the Mercedes C240. However, for the most bang-for-the- buck its been the AZERA hands down. The interior appointments are much finer, the handling superior incl. cornering and agile.

I purchased my Azera in mid-March after much research. The Azera is a quality car with features found in cars costing thousands more. However, recently released crash test results put the Azera below most sedans in several safety areas. This is very discouraging -- especially considering all of the saftey hype that surrounded this car. Another disappointment is fuel economy. I average about 20 mpg (70% city 30% highway). The performance is great. Superb ride and feel. Accleration and brakes are excellent. It is a very comfortable car with good handling. The exterior design is not breathtaking, but above average. The build quality appears great. Overall, very impressive.

Nobody thought I'd buy this car, including me, but I haven't regretted since. A lot of power for its curb weight. The other day, I had no problem keeping up with a Mazdaspeed 3 on the freeway going 90mph. Like some people say, you don't realize how fast you are going because the ride is very quiet and smooth. Of course, it also helps that Hyundai has such long warranties on it. Haven't had need to take it back to dealer yet though. Roomy interior and superb upholstery, though not leather, all the nice touches are there including the "fake" wood plastic finish. Large trunk. Exterior styling is ok, but not the best. But for a $23K car, it's not bad.

Best Car for the Money

I own an Infiniti FX, BMW 530, MB E320 and the Azera is quickly becoming my favorite car to drive. The interior, fit/finish, build quality, ride quality is on par with the other luxury makes I own. In fact, the Azera is faster and has a more quieter, potent V6 than the MB and BMW. The interior cabin is absolutely quiet at high speeds. I installed after market Xenons and an Eclipse Dual Din Navi, which completes this vehicle. A poster here claimed that the Azera had below average crash test numbers. That is false! Look it up yourself on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (safercar.gov) and the Azera's only been tested for the frontal test getting 4 stars.

I first saw the Azera on the road in mid-summer 2006, thought that it was a good-looking vehicle. When the transmission on my minivan failed at 62000 miles I started to shop for another car. Pricing the Camry and the Buick Lucerne along with the Azera I felt more confident with Hyundai and their 10/100000 warranty. The Azera is the most vehicle that I have ever purchased and I have not been disappointed.

After driving this vehicle for a month I have one thing to say "Wow! This is a Hyundai?" This vehicle is very quick, and agile for its class. It has a great turning radius compared to its size, acceleration is terrific, and overall handling is smooth and responsive. I drive around 600-1000 miles a week and comfort is a big deal for me and with this vehicle I haven't had to worry about it. The interior is very confortable and has many posture support features such as a lumbar and higher placed seats (Good for bigger people like me). The interior has a luxurious warm feeling to it and its spaciousness and an overall sharp looking vehicle makes it feel even better. Worth every penny!

Due to dramatically different driving positions, my wife and I needed a car with tilt/telescope electically-adjustable steering. This is the only car in this class with this attribute which is why we began to look more closely. Has full memory settings for seat, this steering and mirror as well as EZ-In/out with seat and wheel receding. Amazing set of features with all safety goodies, fast engine, large interior & trunk; upscale touches like rainsense wipers, rear window shade, MP3 310 watt system etc. So far the car has been perfect. Some minor design complaints, but nothing fatal. Also, sales reps, service techs etc. have not gotten good schooling on car...so do your own homework.

This car that I now drive is one of the best cars that in over 55 years I have owned. Most every manufacturers top of the line automobile ( the automatic truck opener) that needed a visit to the dealer near my home has been the only time I needed to visit the dealer. On the highway, real good gasoline mileage and just average in city driving in the winter when we are visited by loads of heavy traffic from the snowbirds. I use only Mobil one oil and have never added a drop of oil between oil changes. My car being one of the first of this model did not come with a navigation system, but has every other item one could ask for.

I've owned my Azera almost 9 months and have enjoyed every minute. I was prepared to buy an '07 Sonata but after test driving some leftover '06 Azeras on the lot, I was hooked. I ended up paying about $1200 more than I would have for a new Sonata and got a heck of a lot more car. People can't believe it's a Hyundai. It's not a tight "sporty" ride. Handling is a bit drifty, but it's a bigger, softer car. BUT, with 263 ponies under the hood, this car is NOT shy. Styling is sharp and contemporary. Not one "cheap" element to this vehicle. I just don't understand why Hyundai has so heavily marketed the Sonata when this gem is out there. Just test drive it!

Purchased used 2006 Azera Ltd. with 15,200 miles. Tremendous car. I miss the smoother ride of the XG350 I previously had, which was sacrificed in the Azera for better/sportier handling, however; I knew that when I purchased it. Overall, I am very satisfied with the combination of handling, quiet ride (it's still very smooth) and performance/fuel efficiency from the 3.8 liter engine. The interior features are all top notch with tons of space for comfort. Six air bags and electronic stability control add some peace-of-mind safety features.

Smooth ride with enormouse amount of room in the interior. Design is flawless, and for the sticker price of 29,075 is not too bad. Tons of safety features that will have you looking at hyundai in a whole different light. Interior was well thought out.I can say that i have had four cars and this one tops this one. but dont take my word for it go and test drive one and you will see what i mean.-Jason

A great car. Hyundai has hit a homerun with this car, no question. Forget the over priced, frequent visits to the dealer for squeaks, rattles, wind noise and misc. other problems we had with our Volvo S80. This car is much quieter and rides equally as good as the S80 for $10+K less. With the introduction of this car, I am certain there will be more Hyundais on the road. The car inspires confidence in the overall appearance, both exterior and interior and the warranty backs that confidence up.

One problem, a "dead battery", @ 2,500 miles. They came out within 25 minutes to jump start.I took it to dealer, and they checked it out.Found no problem. I put it on a 24 hr charger, and have had no problems since! ( This happened January, 07) Bumpy ride over rough roads. Very Quiet interior, I sometimes try to start it after it's been running, due to no engine sounds inside the car. Overall, it's been the "best car", I've ever owned. Very spacious interior. (I also own a Lincoln, and a Corvette, also bought new.)

This is the 3rd Hyundai that I have purchased. My first was a 2003 Santa Fe, 3.5L, which I loved so much that I purchased a 2003 Elantra for my mother. She feels that the Elantra is the best car she has ever owned! I traded my Santa Fe when I decided to purchase a more fuel efficient vehicle because of the amount of driving that I do. I had only 'stopped' into the Hyundai dealership to 'look at' the new Azera model that had just become available.....and the rest is history. It only took me a test drive and I was hooked. The luxury that Azera Limited offers is far greater that the price paid. Did I mention that I LOVE this car?????????!!!

I was on the fence, deciding between a Dodge Charger or the Azera. After driving both twice the choice was easy - Azera! Extremely comfortable, great ergonomics, and peppy to boot (0 to 60 in 6.5 seconds vs. the Charger at 6.3). Build quality and materials are very high quality and it has all the right nuances and amenities you would expect to find in a Lexus or Audi. My friend, who paid close to 50K for his Acura, was amazed by the Azera. Absolutely no buyers remorse at all. This is the first car I've bought that I can easily see myself being happy with for 5 years.

This car is totally loaded and I only paid $25300 in January 2007 for it brand new with the Ultimate package. The Azera is very beautiful from the outside and has a lush interior with wood grain throughout even in the rear. There is tons of room up front and in the back for 6 foot+ occupants. This car has so many features and my only complaint is the gas mileage and lack of pedal feel in automatic mode. However, when using the auto-shifter you can definitely have more fun during acceleration. This car is very comfortable and definitely blows away the bloated in price BMW/Mercedes/Lexus/Acura cars that it was trying to emulate. Hyundai is no longer a follower, they are now a leader!

I've driven a lot of cars over the years. Among them, Citroens, Alfa Romeos, BMWs, Mazdas, Volkswagen Phaeton, and Rolls Royce (no, I never owned a Rolls). The Azera is one of the finest cars I've ever seen or owned. Hyundai's build quality is as good as anyones. When you factor in the warranty, why would anyone spend more money for a Toyota, Honda, or anything else? It will out accelerate everything in it's class, and has very good handling and ride. It also has gobs of room. The styling of the Azera is also first rate - not flashy or edgy, but somewhat conservative in a way that will allow it to remain stylish for many years. In my opinion, you can't go wrong buying an Azera.

Traded from a Buick Rendezvous because driving it 80 miles round trip to work was too much $$$ for gas. While looking at Sonatas, a salesman said "check out the Azera, it has as much space as a 7 Series BMW" I sat in it and was instantly hooked. Bought my Azera used with 18K miles, I'm up to 45K and loving every driving minute. I get 29-33 MPG highway and 20-24 city. Idling will drive that down. With the possible exception of my 96 Buick Riviera, it's the best ride I've ever had.

We have been driving 06 Azera for about a year and half and have been extremely pleased with the quality of ride. So impressed were we that when we wanted to buy an SUV (had a baby) we immediately bought a Veracruz LTD AWD. This car has more features, bells and whistles than other brands for a far lesser price. We strongly recommend Azera for anyone looking for a mid-full size sedan.

Spent 3 weeks reading reviews and shopping before I decided this was the right car for our needs. We're both tall (I'm 6'4"), and this car had plenty of room, all the right options and the price was certainly more attractive than the Avalon Limited we'd previously decided on. Ok, so there's no NAV, and no ventilated seats. I've lived without them, and they aren't worth the extra $10K Toyota wanted to include them.

First I felt like the dealership really wanted my business which when visiting Toyota and Nissan was not the case. After I test drove the Azera the only thing left to sell me on was the color. The car has been everything I had hoped for. I have yet to take it in for anything other than the 3000 mile oil change. I often take it on a drive from Portland to Seattle which is about a 3 hour drive. Even though I'm over 6' tall I feel comfortable the entire trip. The infinity sound system is great and the car is totally quite at freeway speeds. If I had drove an Azera after buying an Avalon I would have felt total ripped off.

Windows go down instead of up... Dealer can't duplicate. Trip odometer resets itself. Dealer can't duplicate. Radio has no volume. Dealer can't duplicate. Mirrors self adjust. Dealer can't duplicate. Hood latch doesn't work. Dealer says you have to play with it. Air intake for electrical component cooling in rear wheel well... 5 miles on a dirt road clogs filter... Dealer says car not meant to be driven on dirt road. Tsb on rear sunshade says replace known defective gear... Dealer says not covered under warranty. Lack of concern by Hyundai consumer affairs. 100,000 miles on santafe... No problems 50,000 miles on elantra... No problems 70,000 miles on azera... Nothing but problems.

I am really dissapointed in this vehicle It is an overrated car with all the bells and whistles The suspension is terrible and I doubt that I will ever be able to get used to the bumping and knocking. The gas milage is very poor and i dont think I have ever gitten more than 11 miles to the gallon. The front seat sits too high. Should be able to drop lower.

I was really looking forward to this model coming out but must say that I am now disappointed in the overall package. Paid MSRP which is a crime itself but I was eager to buy. So far gas mileage is a dismal 19 mpg city/hwy mix. Suspension is flimsy and floaty, doesn't handle corners very well. I should have paid a little extra and bought a TL instead. Live and learn, live and learn.

Gas mileage is terrible. No front seat drivers side leg room. Not a car to drive if you are over six feet tall. Battery drains after 3-4 days of being parked. Hyundai says that is normal(?) Transmission never knows what gear it wants to be in. No reason to buy this car as long as they are building Accords and Camrys.
