Great SUV for a Semi-Large Family!!!

We bought this car during the year-end clearance event in July of '06. I could not have made a better decision concerning a vehicle! This SUV has the space for my 4 small children, all of the stuff they tote from here to yonder, and our dog as well. The gas mileage does not compare to a car, of course, but it's not as bad as one of those "monster SUVs" either. I haven't noticed the road noise that I've read about in so many other reviews; as a matter of fact, I get compliments from passengers, all of the time, concerning the feel and sound of riding in a car! I wouldn't trade my Pilot for ANY other vehicle out there!

Quality SUV

2006 Honda Pilot EX-L 4dr SUV w/Navigation (3.5L 6cyl 5A)

Purchased an 06 with leather and Nav late October. So far very pleased with the purchase. It is quiet, responsive, looks good, and gets good mileage considering it's an SUV. Decided to go with the 06 instead of an 05 leftover due to added safety features, appearance, and better gas mileage with the 2 WD. Nav system is cool and works well. Can talk to it but it sometimes does not always understand correctly. Got a good price. Could not see buying a Ford and see it devalue like a rock and eat gas like a hog. Has many of the same components as the Acura MDX.

15 plus years with almost no unexpected repairs. Traded in w 96000 miles on 2020 Pilot in May of 2020. One year in and I have no regrets. 2020 Pilot is excellent riding vehicle.

After only having this car for three years, we experienced multiple problems with cylinders, the alternator and starter among others. It is extremely difficult to get into and out of 3rd row and there is no a/c or heat in 3rd row. I do love my 6 disc changer but who wouldn't?

Vibration - Shake, Rattle & Roll

I bought my 2006 AWD Honda Pilot EX-L RES in October of 2006. The Salesman was OK, but the rest of the Sales Staff was total HIGH PRESSURE and snobbish. This is my first Honda and my last. It's been in the shop 5 times since I bought it ONE month ago. It has such a severe vibration problem between 60-65 MPH that I can't stand to drive it. Check out the Pilot forums and you will see it's a widespread problem that Honda refuses to fix. Overall, this vehicles build quality is absolutely the WORST of any vehicle I have ever owned. All I can say is " DON'T BUY ONE ! "
