Excellent Vehicle
An excellent choice in SUV's. More than adequate power, good handling and thus far exceedingly quiet on the road. Satelite radio is terrific, comfortable seats and plenty of room. All in all, a very good design, carried out extremely well. Safety scores are at the head of the class.
Can't go wrong with a Pilot
We just got our of our 2004 Explorer. The Explorer is not even close to being on the same level!! Our kids love the DVD and my wife and I enjoy the XM radio. I don't know that we will ever own any other make of vehicle. The price is close to any comparable vehicle. It's really fun to drive and ride in.

Not Happy
In the short time I have owned the 2006 Pilot I have to say I am very disappointed. The vehicle has a defective ECM chip that causes great distortion in the radio. At the time of this review Honda does not have a fix for this problem. There is a strong wind noise when you roll down one or more windows. The air actually vibrates and flutters causing your ears to hurt. After buying a third Honda in just over two years this could be my last. If you are thinking of buying this vehicle, be sure you know what you will be getting into.
Disappointing Reliability (Annoying)
I got it with 50k miles for $19k in 2009. It was in mint condition with all of the service records included. I thought, "Honda?, how could I go wrong?" Well, I've learned since then that Honda SUV's aren't all they're cracked up to be. Within a year, the front headlights and parking lights inexplicably went out all at once. No warning light, no sign of a short circuit. I replaced all of them, and no issues since then. Next, the idiot light for the gas cap intermittently came on. The gas cap seems to be like new, but I guess it's just temperamental? I don't know... It's a Honda, I shouldn't be dealing with these annoying issues. Next, the rear driver's side power window doesn't work
About as perfect an SUV as you can get
I've had my Pilot 2006 AWD for about 4 months now. It replaced a Nissan Titan so I'm not as squeamish about the mileage as others are. To me the mileage is pretty good and I drive 80 miles a day round trip and fill up about once a week on average. I was buying a half tank a day in the Titan!!! I have a family of 6 so we need the room and the third row is a necessity. Everyone who rides in it is surprised by how roomy it is inside. It's all Dr. Who Tardisy in there. Way bigger inside than it looks on the outside.
