Should have never brought passport back
Bought our passport in nov 2019.. its a 2020 model. So its been 14 months . Spacious interior... great acceleration... comfy seats. The bad... suv constantly tries to brake on 2 lane roads with on coming traffic- alignment always out at every oil change... dealer suggested not driving on rough roads. REALLY. THE 20 INCH were a bad idea since the rubber band tires ride like on skids... guess that may be causing problem with alignment. Has same motor as my old odyssey... but 2k less weight and same fuel mileage. This is our 4th honda and our last. Only buy if you like rough rides - bad ailgnments- and terrible fuel mileage.
Several minor complaints
Let me start by saying I have leased my last 5 vehicles, from an Infiniti Q35x to a couple Jeep Grand Cherokees, so I’m always used to having a brand new car. None of them had given me anything to complain about. I got a sweet lease deal on the Passport two years ago in the midst of Covid. It has a roomy interior and I like how it rides up high. However, there are multiple issues that others have mentioned here that drive me crazy. First, the armrest is so small and cheap it’s almost useless. Literally my least favorite thing about this SUV. Second, the A/C system is so weak-on hot summer days it needs to be turned all the way down to low to feel cool, and sometimes that’s not cool enough. Third, the audio system has been plagued by a terrible crackling sound when being played on any audio source-radio, Bluetooth or USB. I just had to take it in to the dealer for them to overhaul it completely as part of a warranty extension. They told me this is happening to 90% of Passports, and sometimes it doesn’t get entirely corrected. Fourth, the adaptive cruise control is SUPER sensitive. It slows down way too quickly on the interstate, even when I have it on the lowest setting. Fifth, as others have said, the 20” rims are a tad too big. They hang over the edge of the tire, and I’ve managed to scrape the front ones while curb parking a handful of times. Finally, the backup monitor only beeps for moving objects, not stationary ones. You have to be very careful when backing because of this. I nearly clipped a concrete beam in a parking garage because if this. In conclusion, this vehicle is a great value in its class, but be prepared for nagging issues. Looking forward to getting out of my lease next year.

Initial impressions excellent
Very comfortable and roomy. All the advanced electronics make for smooth driving. Automatic brights, adaptive cruise, lane keep assist, collision avoidance it’ll even automatically lock the doors when you get out and walk away. I am getting great gas mileage from my mostly highway driving 28 mpg for first thousand miles; leaving me wondering how much weight they were pulling when they did the fuel standards tests. Couldn’t be happier so far.

Super except 1 big thing
This is an amazing vehicle. Super luxurious, any trim mostly above sport. Best value was said to be EX-L but the Touring has similar look and feel as top Elite trim. Unless you need all wheel drive this is just extra cooled seats, auto dimming rear side mirrors, 1” higher ground clearance than non AWD, granted the awesome Black 20” rims are only available on Elite but the graphite on Touring are good enough without risks to getting scratches as much. And roof rack-cross beans are standard on elite along with towing hitch and rain sensor wipers. So if those are what you need then get the Elite for extra 4K. if not Touring is the a great way to have everything else great about this model. It’s sporty comfortable and I dig the push transmission. The 1 Big Thing that is unacceptable is there is no adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow. It’s frustrating that this isn’t a feature on any v6 model and dealers don’t know this info. Or care to pass it on to potential car buyers. This along with the other safety Honda Sensing features are literally half of what they are in a civic or a Accord or CRV for that matter. Yet this is the most expensive vehicle in the Honda line-up. Honda if you’re listening, explain to owners why you’d drop ACC and the let you cruise right into a vehicle if your vehicle is in Bumper to bumper traffic that drops below 20 mph. Plus also it will not steer itself back from Lang keep assist like it does in other Honda models as mentioned before. Please do an over the air update to get these features in place, or and give a reason took potential owners or current owners why this feature is not in the cars. bumper to bumper traffic that drops below 20 mph. Plus also it will not steer itself back from LKA lane keep assist like it does in other Honda models as mentioned before. Please do an over the air update to get these features in place, and/or give a reason took potential owners or current owners why this feature is not in the v6 models. All that said it’s just the Honda Sensing that keeps my 4 star from being 5. Granted I’ve had my beautiful white Touring for just a week but I’m still getting to know it. But I do know it doesn’t have these features mentioned and Honda should tell owners when they will be installed. It’s dangerous to just be let free of ACC when the car is below 20mph then boom! Your beautiful Passport has new dings. I mean This hasn’t happened to me yet but I know there are people out there this has happened to. One more thing Insurance is more expensive on this than the pilot by a long shot.

Great SUV
Love the tall stance and power of this suv. Tons of room. Great visibility while driving and my actual mpg exceeds the sticker. Very satisfied.
