Drove beautifully, quiet and roomy. I put myself at a disadvantage size wise because I wanted a 6 cylinder. The Passport has that and more. I will be driving it to Florida shortly; we’ll see how it goes.

I’ve had it since around Jun 1 2019. I don’t mind the narrow arm rests, I don’t mind the unusual shift button, I don’t mind that you have to press the auto/stop button every time you start up the car. These are minor nuisances that. I do like all the safety features, I do like the navigation system, I do like the Appleplay and the 10 speakers.. I don’t like the 20 in wheels and the only tires that fit on it..It’s true that the 20 in rims look sporty but the tires make for a bumpy ride..There’s not enough rubber on the road to make it a cushy ride. So far this is the only negative I’ve noticed. As an older driver, I would prefer more rubber on the road to make the ride more comfortable when going over bumps in the road.

We have just recently purchased a 2019 Honda Passport for a Christmas present. This is our 3rd Honda. We have owned an Accord and a Pilot. We had our Accord from 1996 to 2005 and then our Pilot from 2005 to 2019. The Pilot started having aging problems that cost more than the car was worth. I cried when we traded it in. I felt like a traitor, but now that we have our sporty Honda Passport I feel more confident in my travels to and from work and through our errand commutes on the weekends. The passport is large enough to feel cavernous inside but fit into regular parking spaces in my downtown parking lot. The infotainment takes some getting used to because we have never had anything at these techy levels before. The Passport is fun to drive, has a good turning radius, has a nice look that gets a lot of heads turning when I go by. I have the scarlet paint with the gray interior. I don't know how hot leather seats get in the summer but the gray color should ward off some of the heat. The moonroof will also be a nice feature for late spring, summer. We looked at many other SUVs (Murano, CRV, Sorento and Telluride) and the Passport clicked off all of the boxes. It had trouble seeing over the hood with the Murano. The seat height just wouldn't work for me. The CRV is a great small SUV and right now my life is too large for small, so the CRV will be my retirement car. The Sorento had a cheap feel to it, but that is just my opinion. The Telluride was amazing, but very large and it would not fit in our garage without getting rid of our lawnmower which would have cost us more money and the Telluride would have been hard to park downtown, but it is truly a beautiful SUV. We are Honda people and probably always will be unless the prices keep going up and the discounts keep going down. Honda has always been dependable and nice-looking so we have stayed with them. I will always miss my pilot but with the medical bills we have we just couldn't fix any more problems. I will say the Pilot is a solid, dependable car, our was just getting old and it had a lot of miles. The newer Pilots were just too large and not really that eye appealing, to us. Test drive a passport. Test drives are free and see for yourself what quality and fun can be in one package.

Sporty, Firm, but to much Tech

Had a dealer loaner for two days. Drive was firm and sporty. Plenty of pickup. Roomy back seat and cargo area. Sits up high and a solid feel on the road. Much quieter than my old Honda. Expected better gas mileage. I would enjoy driving for 100k miles as long as there were no tech issues. To Much Tech - Digital display gauge was a poor balance of numbers and graphs - give me the option to show an analog tach and speedometer even if its on a digital display. Beeps and Sensors were a bit distracting. Electronic Gear Shift Buttons - I asked a salesman what happens if someone spills coffee or a Coke on the buttons, or melting snow dripping off your gloves? Do the buttons short out, and then you end up calling a wrecker because there is no manual shifter? Mechanic told me 100+ chips in all the new models - nobody knows how reliable they will be long term. As someone else already suggested - 100k extended warranties will become a necessity. Finally - a friend bought a 2019 Pilot back in January. When finishing paperwork, he had to sign a form agreeing not to hold the Dealer legally responsible for any defects, recalls, etc - he could only go after Honda USA. If you read up on Honda's 1.5 liter engine problems and display screen reboots, you get an idea why a dealer wants no legal responsibility. The dealer knows all the new tech is going to be a long term hassle.

Great SUV, fits my lifestyle perfectly as I’m pretty active have only had it for a few days and hope to put many miles on it doing the things I love!!! Will report back if any concerns pop up / but don’t expect any as it’s a Honda and I have been fortunate with all my Honda’s so far and this one is my favorite ;) / sorta like Goldilocks and the 3 Bears as ‘“this one is just right’” lol
