Navigation maps are so very outdated. I mean years outdated. Dealership wants to charge a fee to update navi in brand new vehicle I’ve had for less than a month. Ridiculous. The Navi was one of two top reasons for choosing the touring. I feel suckered.

Roomy overall, more so than the CRV. Power is there. Push button shift. Something to get used to. Good driving response; not as quick as some. Lots of cargo space. Seats fold down in a much flatter profile . Very good overall visibility. Hondas plain Jane approach stands. Thats OK, improvements can be made in terms of better usability features. We do have the technology, wish Honda could incorporate it more. Great safety, and reliability tests still to be completed.

I purchased a 2019 EXL to get the leather, safety and technology upgrades from more basic models. Traded in a 2007 Tahoe that had no technology and rode like you were on a garbage barge. Price was right and well below most lot of the other mid-size two row alternatives, yet still contained many upgrades. V-6 has plenty of punch and no hesitation even from a complete stop. The engine turning off at stop lights and the lack of a stick take some getting used to. Only have about 6,000 miles on it. Made a 2500 mile roundtrip to SLC and it handled the climbs and winding roads like a champ. Very satisfied with the purchase. Has not been in yet for any work, not even an oil change. It is the finest SUV I have ever owned in this price category and I would recommend it to any empty nesters, singles or small families.

Honda chose to use a tall 20" low profile tire I belive to enhance the look of the vehicle. The ride is stiff and there should be an option for a 18" tire that has a higher sidewall that allows for a softer ride. Park a new Passport right next to a same year Pilot with the EXL package look at them from the rear the pilot blows the passport out of the water with larger more visible lights a better ride . I know the passport is new this year but lets face reality the passport is a pilot with 16 or so inches chopped off the rear end. No I don't need the 3 row seating the pilot offers but the ride is better. I like the passport I just belive the ride would be better with the tires I mentioned the front grill is very plain on the passport as well.
