Love and Hate
My wife and I drove this 2023 CRv, with all the options after driving a Rav4. Immediately I noticed a great difference in the quiet cabin, tech features and the smooth ride. It was a joy to drive. I was almost completely sold until I pressed on the accelerator. There was no immediate response as transmission shfits were undetected. The reason being is the CVT transmission. If this thing had a common six or eight speed transmission, I would buy it today. It is a cut above the Rav4, with the exception of the transmission.

Buyers Remorse
I feel like I'm sitting on a brick and my back and neck ache when I drive for any amount of time. Zero cushion in the two front seats. I made a comment when I was test-driving the car, but the salesperson quickly dismissed it as being tight leather that just needs to loosen. Months later and it still feels the same. Another disappointment is the gas mileage. We have it on econ mode and it gets a meager 32.6 mpg. A far cry from the advertised 40. I get that it's "up to" 40, but being in the ballpark of 37 - 40 would have been great and I wouldn't feel misled. I can say that it does drive smoothly and has all the bells and whistles anyone would ever need. However, I'm back to driving my old car while my husband drives this one until we trade it in.

Ignore low tire light
The CR-V Low tire light comes on even when there is nothing wrong with any of the tires. If you are on a 6 Lane toll road at rush over you are encouraged to "find a safe spot" and pull over. With your tire gage go and check all your tires. Why would a low tire light come on if all your tires are fine? I even took it into the dealership where they checked the tires and told me they were all correct. The light according to Honda is to "remind you" to check your tires OR it is telling you it has a low tire. Either/Or. All my other vehicles (this is my first and last Honda) the light comes on when you really do have a low tire.

Best crossover
This first-timer is driving a Honda. I love how this vehicle handles and is comfortable, I love, love, love the way it adjusts the lighting when I drive at night. The instrument panel is user-friendly.
Not perfect for the price
Cons. The negotiation process was painful. The base sticker price...approximately $36,500.... is not even close to the asking price of over of $55,000 plus. The dealer had already added many options and more were proposed totaling $18,000 to $20,000. We negotiated "as is" and still had to pay for some options not wanted. Profit is in the options. Other complaints....no built in garage door opener, navigation system is dependent on Apple Play or Android Google map, seats are a little narrow for a larger person, the passenger seat sits too low for my wife and cannot be raised. Cargo area is not flat with rear seats down. Overall a bit pricey. PROS. Like the new design. Rides firm and handles nicely. Good safety and driver assist features. Anticipate good gas mileage. The EX-L features are close to the prior year models "Touring". Only the hybrid comes in the Touring trim level.
