I've been driving Honda Civics for 25 years. This one is the best! Superb mileage, superb handling, no need to keep track of the battery -- just enjoy it! In fact the only problem is the dashboard indicator, that's so much fun to watch that you forget to look at the road! I don't know why EVERYONE doesn't have one.

I love my hybrid, it's a great car, I downsized from a larger car and felt insecure at the beginning, but once I drove the car I felt secure in it. I highly recommend this car for its look and for the fuel economy.

I took delivery on 2-1-04, and i have been tickled ever since. From the moment i first drove it, i knew i wanted it. The dash lights are so neat in blue, and all is laid out so that you know what is going on with the Engine, and electric motor.I too wish it had a sun roof, but i can live without it. CVT transmision is so smooth, you don't feel anything. 500 hundred miles or so on a tank of 13.2 gallons of Reg.gas is amazing.

This is my third honda. First bought a 94 hatchback, traded it in for a 98 CRV. I kept the CRV for weekends and bought an 2004 LX for the everyday commute. We wanted a sedan for better gas milage and went with the LX since it has all of the features we were used to with the CRV LX. Has the same light ride as the CRV but hugs the road better. I was surprised at the 15 inch wheels! Makes it look sportier. The lines remind you of a 3-series BMW. I love the new Magnesium Metallic color. First tank got us 30 to the gallon. I'm glad they got rid of the the center lap belt. Internet sales helped us get it $500 below invoice.

I got to say what a great little car for the money. You can't go wrong here with the Honda Civic VP, 5 speed. I guess for a 24 year old that car suites me quite nicely. I love the gas milage, the design of the vehicle, and the overall build quality of this vehicle. This is a basic car from point A to B, with nothing but A/C and a AM/FM CD Player. Car rides and drives great! MY GF loves the car! I sold the 2000 Tahoe I had due to the gas prices. I was spending almost a $100 a week in gas for the Tahoe, where as now I only spend about $30.00. This is a perfect car for a young adult, or someone young at heart

I have owned this car for a little over 2 years now. I bought it for getting to work and college, as well as cheap insurance. The Civic is pretty slow, and I usually have to rev into 4-5k RPM to make it to freeway speeds by the time I need to merge. Freeway passing is slow, unless you downshift to 4th. Gas mileage is good, but not the greatest, but one of the better ones at the price. I haven't had any major mechanical issues, just a broken power door lock actuator which was fixed under the extended warranty. Maintenance is a breeze. Interior breaks and scratches easily. Good view out the rear. It gets you from A to B, which is its intended purpose.

Great car to buy new and own for fifteen years. If you don't mind a two door car--in this class of cars, the Honda cannot be beat. It hardly depreciates in value--it rides much more smoothly than ever before. The Value Package is perfect--no need to spend thousands more for unecessary automatic this and that. In silver with a dark grey interior--the car looks as cool as anything else on the road (save a BMW). The new body type is terrific-- with great rear lights. Sporty and fun to drive with built in CD player. Fantastic gas mileage!!! Trunk is significantly bigger than before.

Great car sofar! I orginally got this car for my wife and she is loving it as well. She drives it more than I do, but when I get a chance I am all over it. Overall, I like the way it handles. At first, it didn't seem like it was utilizing the battery power mentioned at the dealer, but as time goes on, on refueling the mileage appears to be getting better each time. I love this car!!!

This is my second Honda. Here's a couple of negative, yet pertinent, comments: 1) noisy engine while idling, which should not happen to a mint new car. 2) noisy power steering at 90 degree turn. 3) not enough power on a 1:8 slope, no passengers and loads. 4) headlight still on after locking door.

I loved my Honda. The only design problems I had with my honda was you could not charge a cell phone and your XM radio at the same time with only one socket. Like most cars now I think Honda should step into the 21st century and at least have 2 sockets. Also, the cup holder got in the way when you were charging your cell phone or had your xm radio plugged in. So, the designers should think of people that drive. Also, I would not recommend a Civic for people over 5' 10". Not good on leg room!

I bought this car new in 2004, and it is probably the best car I have owned to date. It has been very reliable, as I have only done the usual routine maintenance (wipers, tires, oil changes, etc). I got the VP package with manual locks and crank windows (less to go wrong- not that it probably would). The 5 speed trans. makes it fun to drive. Power seems on par or better than other 4 cyl. economy-minded models. Buying price was maybe a tad higher than some competing models, but the lack of repair costs and the great fuel economy have long since justified the price! MPG of 35-42 is about the usual for me. I do tilt the seat back a bit, as I'm 6'5" and 250 lbs. Great car though!

I am a grad student who drives about 5- 600 miles per week. My 1997 Bravada blew the engine and I needed a car fast. I have had this one a week and it handles Michigan ice and rain like a big car, yet sometimes my mileage is 46 mpg. With escalating gas prices, I just wonder why I didn't do this sooner.

I have had two civics. A 2001 LX Coupe with side airbags and my current one, a 2004 EX Coupe with side airbags. They both were excellent cars and never gave me any problems. They are also very easy to keep maintenance on. They do not require a lot. It is very fun to drive and extremely gas efficient.

I previously owned a 2001 Toyota Camry and found it was too much car for me and it did not have the pep and performance my former Honda Accord did. Gas consumption was 23 mi/gal around town and my new Civic is supposed to get 31 mpg. This is a big difference with the price of gas going up. I find that the visibility is much better than the Toyota with fewer blind spots that were very scarey in the other. No complaints on the Civic EX.

My family has always been a loyal american made car buying one. However I noticed all the problems we had with buicks, cadillacs, chevy's etc. Engines powerful by awful electronics and fuel econ. My wife's family had 3 generations of accords putting on average 150,000 on each with only minor problems. So I decided to get a civic mainly for work commute and to avoid the rath of my wife. Have had it only for one month but so far like it alot. Can't beat the gas mileage, ride, stereo, and room for the price.

My other half bought one of these, and while I have owned other Hondas too, I find newer Hondas to be terribly boring and uninspiring than they were 10 or 15 yrs ago. The Civic LX/auto engine is rather buzzy and tends to downshift a lot. Of course the MPG is great. Handling and steering feel are what I HATE about this car. The steering is not precise, and the suspension feels floaty to me, with lots of body lean. Feels like a 20 yr old Buick Century. Unimpressive braking too. If you want an appliance with the soul of a refrigerator on wheels, buy this. If you want a little more personality and spirited driving fun, shop elsewhere.

I bought the Civic Si after also looking at the Nissan SPEC V and the Mazda3. I can't really pinpoint the exact reason I chose the Honda, it just felt better. I've had the car for two weeks now and it is running great. I'm not seeing the fuel economy yet but that will come in time. The only blip I've found so far is that the visor on the passenger side vibrates and is noisy at around 45+ mph. The factory stereo leaves A LOT to be desired.
