Used 2003 Honda Civic Consumer Reviews
2003 2 DR EX COUPE
i just got my car and its a little to early to notice anything wrong with it , i only have about 300 miles on it right now . but as far as i know , this look really good , i went from a tahoe to this civic and iam loving the mpg this car can gives . you cant expect to much performance out of a 4 cyl car , but is better than what i expected , and the seats feel great . like the "si" look alike wheels too .
Great Little Car
I've owned Hondas for 17 years and won't buy anything else. I decided to change from the 5 speed manual back to an automatic and bought the Civic because it was inexpensive and cute, cute, cute!! It surprised me at how quick it is. I was going from an Accord 5 speed with 150 horsepower to the Civic automatic with 106 horsepower. But this little car will scoot! Excellent value for the price.
Not too bad
I've had it for almost week. All controls are easy to reach and use while driving, nice cup holders and storage. Adequate power off the line and passing. Handling is responsive and comfortable, the brakes are touchy. Auto-stop is nice when at a drive through (easier to hear and talk with the people for ordering, etc) Adequate sound system. Easy to install child seats into it. Minimum of wind and road noise. Fuel economy on my first tank of gas was only 37-40mpg highway (I commute 110 miles a day, so it was dissapointing) I refilled the gas tank, my trip odometer read 466 miles and 40.4 mpg, I put in 12.4 gallons which calculated to 37mpg.
03 CIVIC Si
I looked at many cars on the market. Honda has a reputation for reliability. Even though this car may have ~10HP less then some of it's competitors, I belive that the car is a better overall package then the competition. You can easily make 10 more HP out of this motor with a few cheap mods. If you want fast straightline accelerating car, then this car is quick. But I have driven faster 4cyl. The overall package (interior, handling, performance, and reliability) plus the fun factor made this an easy choice for me. I have over 4,000 miles and am even happier with it then the day I bought it...

a great car in all aspects.gives excellent fuel mileage and superb handling.nice interiors and styling. gives you value for money.
Economy Meets Sporty
I bought the Civic EX, because I wanted a car that would be freindly to my wallet, but still fun. When you upgrade to the EX you loose some in city gas milage, but I still average 330 a tank, and thats all city driving. The upgrades are what make the EX so cool. A 1.7L V-tech engine Delivers more than enough power, and you also get alloy rims, power everything, moon roof, tilt steering, and premium sound. You feel like you have a sports car instead of an economy car.
Very Happy with my 2002 CIVIC
I am very happy with my civic. Excelent in gasoline, reliable, comfort. I highly recommended.
a LOT of car for the money
I don't mind that this car is not popular because I got mine for $15.6K ... nearly $4K off sticker. The engine is peppy , but could benefit from an extra 20 hp or so. The rally- style shifter, although weird initially, has become intuitive now. Close gear ratios make for fun driving, but a sixth gear is needed for highway crusing (4K rpm at 75 mph). This car is a blast to toss around, but the wheel/tire combination leaves much to be desired. Suspension is a bit bouncy, but well mannered when taking corners at speed. Aftermarket suspension and wheels/tires are a must, in my opinion. Also, the tranny doesn't like 1-2 shifts after a while.
GREAT CAR
This car is great for everyone. I just bought for my daughter and I'm thrilled for her because I know its very reliable and gas mileage is GREAT!
Love it
you can't beat the gas milage along with the reliability and with a stick on a hx is nice. i like the HX for a reason because it is hard to get so if u see one i would get it HX's is so hard to find trust me i know.
