Used 2002 Honda Civic Consumer Reviews
transmission
i like my car overall. It gets good gas mileage and has pretty good pickup for a four. I did have to get a new transmission though it hadn't gone yet but they thought it might but it was under warrenty so they replaced it for free. Its worked great ever since.
own one and you'll understand
I got my Si in august and its been a blast to drive since. It handles nice and when you gun it it moves quick. Everyone always comments on the interior and it looks unique from the outside ( guinea pig comments)Over all its a great car.
Great gas mileage, everything else meh.
I get great gas mileage in this car... I average 30 city, 34-37 highway. I once got 40 mpg and that's going through mountain roads. The only problem is the build quality, my engine went at 85xxx then my tranny at 146xxx. I could understand the engine because at the time I was doing deliveries with the car plus it was an unbearably hot summer. The tranny it just all of a sudden gave out without any warning. I've read from other sources that many people have this problem with the early 2000 civics (bad trannies).
my first car and not a bad one!
i just bought the si 3 days ago.. i didn't get to drive it much because i had to leave town to go back to school and take my finals.. i really really really miss it.. it seats are really comfortable.. and the rally shifter is very cool.. hmm.. that's all i got for now.. i might come back after i've driven it for awhile and leave another review.. but i doubt it.. hehehe
Lookin good
SI is a civic all grown up with all the bells and whistles. Had a 95 with 145000, ran perfect when I sold it. Just rusted. This car has good pick up even in fifth gear. Gas mileage is decent, use the cruise control. Better features inside, cup holders etc. than older models.
