Taurus
The car has a great comfortable interior and rides well on turns. Has a nice, sleek design.
My New Bull
Our mint 2003 SES was a real steal at $10.1K, including tax and tags. This ex Hertz/IBM company car looks and drives new. Great choice for a family car. Roomy, solid build, rugged engine and a very smooth transmission. No rattles, squeaks or groans. Doors, hood and trunk all close with little effort. Suspension does a nice job in taking the jolt out of NYCs best potholes. Very controlled at speed with little wind noise and little effect from cross winds. No problem passing buses and 18 wheelers.
Pleased
Only 3500 miles thusfar, but I have been surprised with its excellent overall handling and quietness. The 200 HP Duratec engine is impressive. No complaints or problems to report.
Happy car
Bought my Taurus used one year old for $11K. It had 20K miles on it, 32 months later it has 96K miles. The only non-scheduled maintenance work done on the car was two TSBs when I got the car one for rainhat extension and one for a noisy serpentine belt tensioner, both done under warranty. I find the seats the most comfortable of any car Ive owned. The car does everything well, nothing fancy just a good honest car. The base engine could use a bit more power when car is fully loaded but is willing and happy. Car is great in the snow. With three kids in college Ive traveled in all kinds of weather from Vermont to Minnesota and always felt safe and in control, great value for the price.
Great value
I love the smooth ride. Others have also commented how it's like riding on glass. Also have had comments that the car is sharp. I also checked into cost of insurance before purchase, was pleased at affordability.
