. I had 124000 miles on it when it got totaled by a Tahoe . I bought new in early 2009 .had issue with tranny at 30,000 miles that was repaired under warranty. Loved it so much I bought a used one with 10100 miles on it . I got 200000 on it now with no problems. Great car / wagon for trips . 1st one had bench seat in middle . this one has 4 captains chairs . don't know what to do when I turn 300000 on. It .

The car has been extremely reliable throughout ownership. Pulled a u-haul trailer with it once for about 300 miles with no problems. Seat heaters wear out but inexpensive to have replaced with parts from RockAuto and labor at an auto upholstery business. Only problem I ever had. Have owned it for 8 years and 62,000 miles. Great value. My wife loves it and doesn't want to sell it for a newer vehicle. She loves the parking sensors.

This car is everything I was looking for, I love it. Shortly after buying it I went on a trip and noticed a burning electrical smell, turned out the passenger side mirror mirror frame rippled and melted. Got it fixed under warranty when I got home. 2 months later, it happened again. This time, they took pics and sent them to Ford. While awaiting the outcome, the drivers side mirror started to do the same thing. Ford will not fix it.They say it's vandalism! After hours on the phone and sleepless nights, I've gotten nowhere. I've taken it to an independent body shop and they are positive that something is overheating on the inside and causing the problem. Next step is Consumer Protection.

We sold a wonderful Saab wagon because we needed more room after the birth of our second child. Having never owned a domestic car, we were reluctant to even consider the Taurus X, but the specs - interior room, decent fuel economy, safety - were compelling, particularly at this price point. After living with it (admittedly a short time), I am blown away. It's solid as a rock, with great build quality, a very spacious interior w/o being huge outside, good ride/handling balance, amazing seating flexibilty. Leather quality is outstanding, and there are numerous thoughtful touches, such as the covered storage bin atop the dash. Not as much fun to drive as the Saab turbo, but we're thrilled.

We are still new to this car, but so far loving it. We are impressed with the versality as well as the comfort of the ride. Accelerates very quickly and you don't feel how fast you are going.
