Value vs Quality
Purchased a '21 Ranger to replace my tired, old '04 Colorado. I like the exterior styling, but, the interior is very cheap plastic bits and I find all of the automatic systems (lighting/chimes/auto on-off, etc) without manual controls, annoying. I didn't realize how large this vehicle is and how high off the ground it sits, much bigger than I realized, and I'm 6'3. It will take a little getting used to. The difference between the Colorado and the Ranger is like night and day in terms of performance. The controls don't feel intuitive, but that could be muscle memory kicking in...and their placement seems not very well thought through. Overall the fit and finish is mediocre, not great/not bad, just could be a little better. Value is a relative thing and is different for everyone, I personally feel the price is a bit much for what you get, take away all of the many Ranger emblems letting everyone know it's a "Ranger", and you have a fairly basic truck. I would rather pay a little more for something a little more substantial. For this reviewer, Quality = Value. Would I purchase this vehicle again, the verdicts out for now, but at this point I don't think I would. Pros: Engine 2.3L Turbo Ecoboost Drivability (reliability, not sure yet) Cons: Cheap Plastic Interior (especially the sun visors) Too many automatic systems w/o manual override Infotainment System Gauges (too cluttered/complicated not simple readouts) Price

Still going.
I bought the truck new. Like others I was going to go with the Tacoma but the ride in the Ranger was nicer. Overall, I am well pleased with the truck. The ride is good. The turning in and out of tight place is a plus and it has no problem pulling my Bass Tracker boat. You don't even feel it back there. I gave it 4 stars because of the cab room. I miss the room and storage that I had in my F 150. And to be honest the Tacoma had a better storage with the back seat folded down.

Get lock out of truck.
Our 2021 Ranger has lock us out twice! Entering the truck by the key will get you in, but the truck is dead. No power!! I'm told it's a glitch when there are certain internet wave interfering with the truck. Great.....grrrr!! Once at Costco and once in front of our church. I waited 10 minutes and the alarm began to sound and then I had power. Fix the glitch Ford. I wouldn't want this to happen if I had an emergency.

Ford Ranger oh no!!
Oh my gosh, what happened to Ford's quality? Took delivery of this truck with scratches in the dash and the floor console... the door panels scratch so easily that they are noticed. The brakes are terrible.. a disappointment. Owned Fords all my life.. this is my last. Not to mention my vents weren't hooked up either..

Greatly improved over 2019
Ford got it right with the 2021. Mileage of 24mpg (or higher if paying attention) with a 4×4 and 6 foot box and plenty of goodies without needing a second mortgage is a good purchase. Reliability ranking is highest for a midsized pickup.
