Second childhood!
Oh I am an 72 year old woman that always wanted a neat pickup. Well I found it in my little red Ranger. Some tell me I should move up to a F150 but I say no way. I love the chrome rims and I keep them clean, so when the sun hits them. The F150 guys can't seem to stay on the road. My Ranger is bright red, 4x4 and loves to play in the snow! What a great truck! I love it... really love giving someone a run for their money off those red lights. Its got pick up! Still love the Ranger it has over 47000 miles on it now. Looking to get a small camping trailer to pull with it. Still ladies you want some fun but yet something to haul things, get a Ranger its the best!

Love my Ranger Tremor
You will love this truck. Bought the 2021 Ford Ranger Lariat Tremor edition in Rapid Red. I was a little nervous about the stated mpg 19/19 but have been getting around 20 mpg with equal interstate/city driving. Yes it would nice to get better mpg the tremor package provides some improvements that will give you a better driving truck on and off the road. Also, while the Ranger may be classified as a compact truck it is far from being small and the Tremor package makes it a bit beefier. It drives great and despite the 32 inch Grabber Tires it has minimal road noise. The larger tires also look great. The upgraded shocks and rear springs with the Tremor package make a big difference in taking away any bumps from both off-road and paved driving. It holds the road nicely and I have yet to have any of that rear end hopping that you can have in a lot of trucks. One of my personal worries was how it would handle in the rain and while I slow down a bit, I have a lot of confidence that the back end of the truck will stay straight and on the road. My wife drives a Lexus Rx 350 and she likes the seats in the Ranger much more. I am not sure that I would go that far but it is extremely comfortable. I am not a small guy - 6'1 and 245lbs and have plenty of room. The heated seats work great but miss not having an option for heated steering wheel. The safety features on the Ranger are one of the reasons I ended up choosing the ranger over the Tacoma/Canyon/Colorado. Don't believe me - do your own comparison. My Ranger has Lane-Keeping System, BLIS® (Blind-Spot Information System), Rear View Camera Pre-Collison Assist with Emergency Braking (AEB). Auto High-Beam Headlamps and adaptive cruise control. It also has some nice off-road driver assist technologies. I do wish it had an option for a heads up display but it wasn't a deal breaker. Although it isn't head up you can select digital miles per hour on the drivers screen. While I am far from an audiophile the B&O 10 speaker system was another selling point for me. It is best in the Surround mode and it has great bass. I haven't heard the stock stereo so I can't compare but do feel like it is better than some other premium systems I have had including Bose, Harmon Kardon, and Mark Levinson. Don't laugh but I do miss not having a CD player - giving away my age a bit. I had doubts about the Sync4 system but all of the features from navigation to audio, etc work easily using voice recognition. I haven't used Apple Car play so can't speak to its ease of use. I can say that I haven't been impressed with the apps available for the system. I have the factory sprayed in liner and it looks and functions great. A complaint I have is that overspray ended up in the threaded holes where you add accessories like additional tie downs or in my case used for a tonneau cover. Do yourself a favor and ask the dealer to clean those up before bringing it home. For anyone deciding whether the Tremor package - available on the XLT and Lariat trims - package is worth it my opinion is it was worth every penny. Pros - tougher looks, improved off-road capability, improved ride and handling on pavement. Cons - cost more, reduces payload capacity, lower mpg. As for Lariat vs XLT - that is really a personal preference. It is worth it if you like some of the nicer options but the XLT will perform as well and save you some money. My truck obviously has all the bells and whistles that many may not want to pay for or need but if you are comparing to a loaded competitor such as a Canyon Denali, etc I don't think you will find that the others measure up in terms of price, options, and capability.

Tremor: Jerky Transmission, Engine Powerband Sucks
There is so much that's annoying with my 2021 Ranger Tremor that I am going to sell it before 8,000 miles. The noise of the engine grates into your very core and Ford has done almost nothing to filter out that direct injection clacking that nobody wants or needs to hear in the cabin. It has a 4-cylinder and 10 gears yet I cannot achieve more than 17.2 mpg in the city and 19.8 on the highway... and that's with me changing the heavy off-road tires to lighter highway tires? The transmission is extremely slow to react for a 2021 vehicle and annoyingly jerky often with little consistency as to when it'll change gears and you end up lugging the engine if you're going about 30-35 consistently. The suspension makes these clunks that reverberates along the frame when you accelerate or stop (I'm told that's the FOX shocks). The steering is too touchy for a truck just off-center. The dashboard center-stack design is terrible and I literally cannot see the buttons during the day because the interior is so dark (god forbid I can get a tan interior on the TREMOR). Speaking of TREMOR, the TREMOR sticker was not applied level and it's like this on every one I see. The included skid plate is thin metal that has no business being on an off-road package truck and there for show and cannot be replaced if you bend it because Ford doesn't sell the black one unless you buy another TREMOR truck. Most importantly to know, the brake feel is the worst of any car I have ever driven in my entire life and that includes a 1967 Lincoln. Overall, I feel like I'm driving a truck that's 20 years old, not brand new with modern design. Especially since the full tank fuel range is actually embarrassing. What's worse, there's very little quality aftermarket for these trucks compared to the Toyotas and since Ford is going to redesign the truck for 2022, apparently, there's not ever going to be much to speak of. Yes, from a specs perspective you have better towing and power than the Toyota Tacoma. Okay, sure, but most people don't need 7,000 lbs. of towing on a mid-size (and you wouldn't want to tow that much with these "afterthought" brakes and no factory brake controller option) and most people want a more reliable naturally aspirated 6-cylinder engine. I drove the new engine/transmission combo in the Nissans and THAT is how you do it. I should not be getting jerked around and annoyed by the engine/transmission tuning every single day. And to add to the list... the A/C is awful. I live in Georgia... sometimes it never really cools down the cabin unless you are blasting the ever-lovin' out of it. Never had to do that in any other car in the past.
