Used 1994 Ford Probe GT 2dr Hatchback Consumer Reviews
I love my PGT
My '94 PGT has over 155,000 miles on it and still runs great. The engine has a lot of wear and tear on it with all those miles like oil burning, but it starts everytime i want it to, the tires spin when want them to, and she is quick and fast. I love to driving ever since I purchased my probe because it is the funnest car i have ever driven.
for your info..94 probe GT
overall this car is a blast to drive.. the sleek, sporty style of this car is hard to beat for the price[ i repeatedly get poeple asking me if i got a brand- new car]] shortly after buying this vehicle i had a "shut-off" problem.needed a new distributor ..would recommend this vehicle as a fun to drive, inexpensive sports car...just get it checked out first if its got higher mileage.
'94 Probe GT 5-speed
First off, FYI, Probes share the same chassis and driveline as a Mazda MX-6, but Probes resale values are much less. The V6 is so smooth, way more refined than any other V6 I've driven. The gearbox is good and reliable. I have about 148,000 miles on the original clutch. This car handles great also. On 93-95 models the ignitor and coil seem to fail quite often. I installed an MSD system and it's been reliable ever since. I have power everthing on mine and everything still works fine. The exterior has the bad Ford red paint which fades badly. If they still made the Probe, I would buy another.
My Car Specs
This car is rather sprty yet comfortable in all the same sitting, exciting to drive with a nice amount of torque but I admit i'm happy with this purchase
94 Probe GT
106,000 mainly trouble free miles. Still on the orginal clutch. Usual Probe maintenance issues - Oxygen sensors, ABS sensors, wiring harness, water pump, factory CD. Expensive to repair ($500 for an ABS wheel sensor?). Mazda mechanicals make this a reliable car that has been fun to drive over the past eight years.
