great car
I'm baffled as to how this car got a 2 for a ranking. I love this car. I bought mine as soon as they introduced the new design and have loved it ever since. Not one mechanical problem yet with almost 50,000 miles.
1999 Mustang Gt
Got a great deal for 10k from a friend when its worth about 12. Only 45,000 miles, awesome car only problem is trying to keep tread on the tires longer...

Pleasant change from euro-box
The GT, while looking over blown certainly delivers FUN. The fake vents are a little embarrassing but the respectable interior and traction control makes up for it. The TC allows for rapid progress without the need for anxiety attacks, even in the wet. Overall I like the car, it's easy to reach the cornering limits but safe enough to stay there and play a while with the option of a leaving the TC on to calm you down. I get between 15 and 22mpg and for the money what would be more fun?
Mustang vs Z28
A 97 Z28 and I had to painstakingly part. A few years later I ran into this used Mustang for a good price and bought it since I was dying to get back into a sports car. The Z had a little more power and cornered a little tighter, but rode a LOT rougher and was a LOT noisier. The Mustang is fun to drive, I prefer it over the Z. It even has true dual exhausts! (The Z has duals coming out of the muffler).
Great
A fun fast car for cheap... and its American made and American muscle
