I’ve been very pleased with my 2015 Ford Fusion.
I have only positive things to say about our 2015 Fusion! Drives great, rides great, 38 highway mpg highway and 22 in town. Extremely comfortable for the price point.

Love driving it...when it starts
I have the SE 1.5 Ecoboost. In terms of the engine, it is either eco or boost, never both. I have achieved as high as 45 MPG when doing mostly highway driving in good weather. Driving in colder weather and/or with a heavy foot will bring you down to around 27 MPG. My car says my average is just north of 33 MPG. Acceleration is good once the turbo kicks in when in sport mode as long as you pick the correct gear. While the 1.5 is not much faster than the 2.5, it feels faster and more spirited; it is absolutely worth the extra $800. The drawback to the small displacement motor is that added weight decreases acceleration dramatically, but since I drive solo most of the time, it's not a big deal. In regards to the select shift, it is not instantaneous, but shifting .5-1.0 seconds before you want it to shift fixes that issue. The ESC on this car is amazing. The traction control is good, but not so good that you can't easily spin your tires if you step on it (unlike my previous 2014 Mustang that couldn't spin ever). While being easier on the throttle, the TC works great in the winter. Overall, the handling is superb. In the comfort department, I have zero complaints, and I am 6' 4". I have taken this car on 14 hour trips and it is amazing compared to other vehicles, especially Ford Super Duty's. The overall design and technology that this car has is wonderful. Now onto the bad. I have had at least one of my windows frozen shut almost every day this month with no visible ice on them. Also, the trunk likes to freeze up as well. I have never had a car so prone to freezing up, but the temperature has fluctuated higher and lower than the freezing point a fair amount this month in WI. The largest issue that my car has is a parasitic draw on the battery. It has been dead five times in the 21 months that I have owned it, once in as short as 12 hours. Ford cannot diagnose the problem, so they extended my warranty, but will not give me any real incentive to get me in a new car. That being said, I am going to cut my losses (resale value sucks, trade-in is half of MSRP in less than two years) and get a 2017 as soon as the normal rebates are higher because when I buy a car, I want something that starts up every time. The Fusion is a wonderful car, and there are plenty of perfectly functioning ones out there, and I hope for better luck next time. UPDATE In March of 2018 I traded in my Fusion for a 2018 Fusion Titanium. I absolutely love it, with the only issues being how easily the paint chips off and Sync 3 will freeze once in a while if I try to go through songs too quickly. The 2.0L seems to take longer to build boost, but makes more power higher in the rev range, instead of dropping off past 4 or 5k like the 1.5L. Overall, I love Fusions, but I do wish they held their value better. Since Ford is discontinuing it's sedans, I probably will keep this one for awhile.

What about the passenger?
My husband says this is his favorite ride ever and he's had lots of cars. I like driving this car too. However, the passenger seat is not that comfortable. I passed up a Kia Optima because the passenger seat was too low. We bought this instead. Why do car manufacturers ignore the passenger seat? All they would have needed to do is put a lumbar adjustment and it would be great. So I have to sit on something to make the seat half way bearable. You shouldn't have to buy some overpriced package to get adjustments for the passenger. Also, the fabric is not durable. We had stains on the seats within 1 year. They won't come off. Can't imagine what they are. Lest you think it's our neglect let me just say that we also have a 2002 Dodge ram pickup with fabric seats.... No stains no problems and we've never even had to clean them. The car we traded in on this fusion was a Mazda 6 2006 (my favorite car). After 10 years no stains no problems (tan fabric) and I can't remember ever having to clean those seats either. Hello out there. Can you car manufacturers produce a comfortable seat for driver and passenger without buying leather and a bunch of other unneeded add-ons? This is a problem across the board.

No resale value good car
No trade in value and no mileage tires. I sold the Fusion to another Ford dealership for $10,500.00 with 31,500 miles on the odometer. 7/2019

Best car ever!
I bought this car brand new off the Ford dealership lot, and I have never had an issue with it. I take it regularly to the same dealership I purchased it from for maintenance, and for recalls, they always complete the work and let me know when it's completed. I love my vehicle and if I were to trade it for another it would be a Ford from the same dealership, because they treat me with respect and dignity. We have a saying in the US Navy for a job that goes above and beyond expectations, BRAVO ZULU, I give that to the dealership!
