Smooth quiet ride great on long trips
I really enjoy owning and driving this car. It is a well balanced machine. It has good power and is very comfortable and quiet on the road. It drives like a much smaller car but is large enough to carry four adults. The only downside is the intake valve fouling issue common to earlt GDI engines. After an additional 10000 miles the car is running well. There have been no problems with the electronics. Ford unilaterally discontinued the remote vehicle health report and nav updates are too expensive. The interior remains comfortable and is wearing well. Tires will need replacement soon. Too bad Ford is discontinuing sedan production.

Glad I bought it!
Lost my 98 Olds Aurora to an idiot turning right from the left lane. Didn't think I would find a car that was as comfortable and had decent performance without spending a fortune. The Fusion outperforms the Olds in many aspects the only one that it lost out in was straight line acceleration. The 2.0 Ecoboost is fun to drive, the interior comfort is as good as the Olds was, the technology much better and the car is super quiet inside. The 19 inch tires makes it corner on rails. I am very glad that I bought the Titanium package. **2020 Update** 97,000 and still runs strong. Money well spent for a sporty, comfortable ride. Only issue is the rear view camera went out.

What I expected
Great car, I work at a fords plant so ofcourse I bought the car with my A PLAN. I bought the 1.6l EcoBoost. I have achieved at the greatest 39.9Mpg on highway so far. On an average day I get 35-36 with cruise control on going 60. And in town I get about 22mpg, 20 at worst. The only complaint I have with the car is the Sync is a little glitchy, rarely, but sometimes. And the cup holders are close to the gear shift and its a little uncomfortable if youve got like 2 44oz drinks in the cup holders and wanting to autoshift. But besides that it has been a great buy for me atleast.
Smooth ride 70k+ and no drive train issues
I can't say that this car did not have faults. The rear suspension tends to float very quickly after the shocks out gas. I only had one shock that out gassed at about 18K. And the vehicle floated all over the road. On ice it was a complete challenge trying to keep it straight. One other issue I had, was there cheap design on the sunroof. The plastic gears ground up in cracked apart causing the whole unit to fail. Fortunately, because of my engineering background I was able to swap it out without too much issue in about a half a day's work. However when I took it to the Ford dealer he quoted me $3,000 to change it out. I did it for about $200 and time. If not for those two things it would have gotten five stars.

Ruby Red beauty
Not sure all the negative reviews aren't jealous Chevy owners. I bought my 1.6 liter SE in July and immediately took a 2000 mile road trip which was a delightful ride. The Fusion's styling inside and out is second to none in it's class. One recall recently which took a few hours, but my dealer gave me a loaner so no big deal. This is my second Fusion (traded a 2009 SEL with 75,000 miles and never in the shop for anything but routine servicing) and I know there will be a third in a few years. Had this 2013 for three years now and 48000 miles. Still runs like new and looks new inside and out. Owned a couple Fords back in the 80's and swore never again, but they really took the quality initiative seriously and can't see me buying anything but for the foreseeable future.
