First and Last Ford forever

2010 Ford Fusion SEL 4dr Sedan AWD (3.0L 6cyl 6A)

Hadn't owned a Ford in years. Liked the 2010 Fusion v6 SEL AWD. In past 6 months, replaced throttle body (scary to have no acceleration suddenly in 65 mph traffic). Drivers side seat warmer went, and last week wife was 60 miles away on business and it wouldn't start. Towed to dealer for new battery (??) Traded in that piece of junk today for a 2013 Accord. We had owned Honda's for over 15 years and other than normal wear and tear, had 1 oxygen sensor replaced in 4 year old car and muffler and exhaust system in my now 14 yr old civic. I feel sorry for whomever buys my trade in!

Owned this 2010 since new. 66,000 miles. Only one issue-throttle body senser recall. Warranty covered it. Its excelleled in every area. Mileage unreal-34 miles to gallon highway at 70mph, 23mpg around town. Acceleration excellent. 6 speed automatic works well. Handles very well. Large trunck with fold down seats. Nice job Ford.

2010 Ford Fusion with 99,000 when Purchased

Purchased this car from dealer used with 99,000 miles on and purchased the extended warranty. Ran great up until around 130k miles and then started having acceleration issues and when we took it to the dealer they couldn't identify the problem. Drove it a couple thousand more miles and then maintenance light came on and the dealer took a look said it was loose hose connected to the transmission. Problem was fixed and then a few weeks later it started making another noise while accelerating and now the dealer says that three of the engine blocks need to be replaced which isn't covered by the warranty. Not impressed with the new Ford models and their attempt to reinvent the brand.

Really can't complain...

I drove my brand new 2010 fusion right off the dealership lot and today....4yrs and 118K miles later really and truly cannot complain about it - from the perspective of what I paid and what I got. I have had some of the issues other mentioned: ie throttle body (still waiting on reimbursement from Ford) and now the transmission is starting to slip a little. I've been lucky with the dealership (afterall I am back there almost every 3 months to get the "works" service done) - thankfully haven't had to do more than the regular service.

This 2010 ford fusion is an absolutely beautiful car. Most people don't know where the transmission problems come from. There is a plug on the bottom of the transmission if you change it like the owners manual say's [engine oil every 5,000 km trans every 30,000 km is what I do ]Don't be mad at the car or the builder cause you bought a car that someone didn't do the proper maintenance on. This car for the price and for what you get is a awesome car. If your looking at buying a used one I recommend you change the trans oil when you get it and again 10,000 km after then 30,000 km there after. when you drain it only 5L comes out not the 11L it holds the reason for doing it 2 times so fast
