Good efficient car
Just recently got this car used with 56k miles on it and i am very impressed with it. I got the base s model which didnt have anything fancy but very efficient car and comfortable. I am 6 foot 6 and with the seat back all the way i have plenty of room sadly pedal for acceleration is very small but my foot is size 14. The automatic 4 speed isnt bad at all and i get an average of 27.7 mpg atm with it driving mostly backroads. Handling is sharp on this car so if you are use to a bigger vehicle like i was (a 5k pound pontiac montana sv6) you will wanna let the car glide farther into corners. Engine sounds nice especially when it upshifts into 3rd, it is a very quiet engine but there is some rattle inside the car dash not too bad. If you can get the car in manual id recommend for the experience, if you like automatic its still nice to srive though so no complaints either way. With some good tires, brakes and a nice steering wheel grip this car is super fun to drive.
Economy car?Not really!
I've had to step down from a Lexus IS to a lower priced car. Naturally I was worried about quality and reliability. After a bunch of research I decided to go with the 2010 SES Coupe with remote start and moon and tune package. The car handles very well and the power is surprisingly adequate. Gas milage is pretty good but so was the Lexus'. The interior is very nice for an economy car but it feels much more expensive if you get the sync package. Sync works incredible well and it does take a little while to figure all the commands out. The moon and tune package adds a sub which shakes the trunk pretty good but its no Lexus sound system. All in all a great car and no regrets!
Paint chiping from winter driving
Purchased last Jan and drove it about 100 miles on salt covered roads after a snowy day. When I got home, I noticed that the paint in front of the rear wheel wells was chipping off. It continued to get worst every time I drove it in the snow. The dealer repainted this area and placed 8 pieces of clear plastic on the doors and fenders to try and prolong it from happening again per the Ford TSB. If you live in a area where they sand or salt the roads in the winter and expect the paint to be durable and long lasting, you should avoid this vehicle.
Okay car
I had to replace transmission at 69000 miles. Had several repairs on parts of transmission before replacing. Even though I had a lot of problems with the car (which wasn't the cars fault). It was a good car for the most part, until a technician crashed it and totalled it.

Great car
Follow up review. 9 months, 26,000 miles later. I replaced the OE Kumho tires with some Continental Extremecontact DWS, and that further improved the already good ride, gave it better grip in the corners, and a quieter ride as well. I've had zero problems since I've owned it, and it's fun to drive, with the A/C off it has plenty of power, and the transmission is responsive and the gears are well spaced for a 4-speed unit. It has tons of grip, and very little body lean in the corners, it just grips and grips. However, with the A/C on, and passengers in the car, the little 2.0 get's a little overwhelmed when getting up to speed. At WOT, the A/C shuts off anyway, so no big deal.
