Good power, five speed manual very forgiving. I bought the car to down size from an SUV, and after 31k I decided to write this review it's a 10 year old car I bought it with 74, 000 its been oil sprayed so body is in good condition but I have seen some my year with alot of rust on them.. This car is what you pay for but a little more with the ses it has beefier suspension 17 in rims. The clutch is the easiest I have ever used, you can start in first gear without the gas on a flat grade pretty easy, ford really got this one right but the 2012 to 2016 are a nightmare. All in all I like the the car I wish it had more power 15-20 more horsepower bigger gas tank, it's good on gas though

Great gas mileage

I needed an affordable car and the Focus met that requirement. I'm disappointed that the model that I bought does not have electric windows, cruise control, or electric side view mirror controls but that's my fault for not checking it out thoroughly. I'm also confused about the lack of an ash tray and lack of a lighter--I'm not advocating smoking but it would be nice to have an ashtray and lighter when I am driving alone.

Great Car for the Money

While making a decision to purchase a new vehicle to replace my 2006 Volvo S40, I needed to downgrade on price but didn't want to suffer with a stripped car or bottom of the line car. First, I have the 4-speed automatic. I shopped Honda (too expensive for all I wanted), Hyundai and Kia (better warranty, same cost, but Korean), and Chevy. This was the best buy. I don't miss my Volvo, except for its moonroof. The price, look, SYNC, and its ride made it the best decision. I do mainly in- town driving with a little highway driving. My MPG is much lower than what was stated on the sticker. The best MPG I've gotten so far was city and highway combo of 25 mpg, but I usually end up with 22.

I purchased my focus ses 3 months ago replacing my 2001 focus. What a difference ford has made over the years. Rides well and has many good perks like heated seats, well used in PA. Handing is quite a bit better than I expected. gas mileage averages at 33 mpg's. That is driving up and down hills. Awesome ride!

A Great Reliable Vehicle, Never a Problem

Proven reliability, Never a problem. Easy to drive, set ups high for a smaller vehicle. Good Road car with minimal road noise. Secret is good tires and good struts, improve good handling to excellent handling for smaller than mid size car. Plenty of room for four and or five with youths in the rear seat. Trunk space is generous. Ford perfected the body and engine after years of redesign.
