Used 2003 Ford F-150 4dr SuperCrew XLT 4WD Styleside SB (4.6L 8cyl 4A) Consumer Reviews
I am glad I made this choice
I had a 2000 Ford Expedition XLT 2wd and traded it in for this new truck. The best choice that I made as far as a vehicle purchase, I know understand why Ford has the best selling truck.
If it wasn't for the rust
Great truck. Hauled great. K&N Air Intake, custome cat-back dual exhaust added. Gas miliage...well it's a truck so what do you expect! If it wasn't for gas prices, I would still have it. The bottom of the doors are starting sto show rust. Concerns me. Sold it just recently for a silly low amount. Bought a Mazda6. I will own a truck again, and it will be a Ford.

2003 Ford F-150 FX4 SuperCrew
Great build quality. Amazingly agile considering size and ruggedness. Handling is exceptional for a large 4X4. Refined interior with great ergonomics. Rear seats fold flat with minimal effort for expanded flat floor space.
Versatile
I needed a vehicle that could haul 5 adult passengers, a reasonable sized payload, do well on snowy and icy roads (Montana), and do well on eroded, rocky, unmaintained forest service road. I think I bought the perfect vehicle. It is truly fun vehicle to drive and rides extremely well. I am tired after a 12 hour drive, but not exhausted. It get reasonably good gas mileage (not great) for big truck. Thus far it has been extremely reliable. I love my truck and look for reason to drive it.
2003 Screw 4wd XLT 5.4L
I usually buy imorts, as I drive vehicles until they die. But with two kids we just needed the extra room. Our maiden weekend voyage allowed us to pack everything from food to strollers. Got 17.5 mpg on our first tank(5.4L) which is close to what I get with my 93 Pathfinder - but this has way more power. Rides great on the highway.
