Used 2017 Ford Explorer Consumer Reviews
Handsome Vehicle
Nice solid suspension. Rough surfaces are smoothed out. Perfect height for getting in and out of. No doubt a very sharp looking and handling SUV. I guess that's why they are seen everywhere in every trim level.

Content but not thrilled, 8 years and 58K miles
Our 2017 Ford Explorer provided a comfortable ride but was average to disappointing in several areas. Power was adequate for most highway cruising but struggled when encountering any significant grade. The interior noise level was noticeably higher than our 2013 Ford Edge Limited. The second-row seat always had a rattle. The noise issue was negatively impacted by the A-pillar trim issue that Ford hasn't been able to fix. Fuel economy was never as expected, even when using premium fuel. The computer had to be replaced at our cost since the warranty expired shortly beforehand. The transmission had a noticeable noise since new which was always dismissed by the dealer. The leather seats didn't wear well compared to the 2013 Edge. The center console latch broke after three years and the repair cost was unreasonable. The glove box hinge broke at around six years of ownership. A sudden decrease in fuel mileage and additional noise from the front suspension resulted in a decision to trade this vehicle.

Great family and travel auto
I currently have 130k with almost no issues, just routine maintenance . The sport model is comfortable with excellent handling for a 3rd row seat SUV.

Less than a month ownership
Great drive for a 4x4 this size, super comfortable in front and in back. Reliability and value is only from the initial buyers perspective. Compared to other 4x4's it is great value for money.
