The Sport Trac is the perfect pick up for the way I use a pick up. Excellent seating for 4 full sized adult people. Easy to get in and out. Excellent in the snow.

Strange Mix

The 2003 Sport Trac is a strange mix. It looks good on the outside but once inside you realize that there is little or no room to reach down and adjust the seat settings or power bolsters. The door is so close to the seat itself that your arm can become trapped. Interior could use some dressing up. Even the premium 6 cd in dash sound system is blah to look at

Great vehicle

I purchased the Sport Trak Premium on May 30th and have been impressed with the features to date. This truck was the right truck for me since I needed the truck bed for hauling items that would not have fit in the interior of a regular SUV but I didn't need the 5 1/2'- 8' bed on Ford's truck line. The instrument panel is an attractive feature that only serves to highlight the fact that this is a functional vehicle. Not flashy, but functional. Normal acceleration seems a little slow when leaving the stoplight but the acceleration is very smooth and quiet from what I have noticed.

My first one was totalled(my bad)and if I ever get in another accident, a Sport-Trac is what I want to be in. Second Sport-Trac has been even better than the first, even though they are identical. Love the 4:10 gears in the rear with posi-trac...and the 4 wheel disk brakes. Been one great off-road toy for me too.

Thoughts on Trac

I really like this vehicle. It's comparatively well appointed for the price. It's comfortable and fun to drive. The bed offers a number of hauling options with the tonneau cover (which creates a fully lockable water tight "trunk") and the bed extender. The Trac isn't as huge as some of it's competitors; therefore, it fits neatly in the garage. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone who needs to have the ability to haul cargo and people. I read a review on Edmunds.com suggesting that the vehicle vibrates at highway speeds. I have not been able to reproduce this issue in vehicles I test drove or in the one I purchased.
