Bought the 2.0 liter 2014 Ford Escape Titanium from AutoNation Ford in Jacksonville, FL. I now have about 2,500 miles on the vehicle and am perfectly satisfied with all options and accessories including but not limited to Navigation, Sirius radio, sync, My Ford touch, panoramic moon roof, tow package etc. This is a comfortable and smooth riding vehicle which is also well built and easy to look at. I traded in a 2012 Ford Escape for the 2014 and have been very pleased with Ford quality in general and in this vehicle specifically.

Okay, up front, this car weirdly burns a little oil right when it starts up, but it's been doing it for most of its life. At 108,000+ miles, it's still doing well. I would recommend if you buy a turbocharged vehicle to check the oil once in awhile. Usually I don't even have to add any before the next oil change, but I like to check it just to be safe and take good care of the car. As far as everything else, we've had no major repairs, just brakes and some recalls. We've taken it on some long trips, and my wife drives it on her 50-ish mile commute every weekday, plus it's our main vehicle on the weekends. One thing I've noticed is this car's gas mileage drops to around 26-27 mpg in colder weather (sometimes lower in extreme cold, like 10 degrees F or less) but stays around 28-28.5 when it's warm out. I can't complain though. For a decently roomy family vehicle, even 26 mpg is pretty good. The touchscreen controls aren't as intuitive as the new Fords, but they work well once you get used to them. Also, I've put some pretty serious loads in this little SUV with the rear seats folded down, and it really excels in that department. We also like that the rear seats can be tipped back slightly instead of being left straight up. It takes away a few cubic inches of cargo space, but it's nicer and more comfortable for the kids. This is a comfortable car to drive. The ride is a little stiff, but I feel like that's a side effect of having sporty suspension and top notch handling. I'm serious. This little thing handles like it's on rails. One thing you should know if you buy one is that the traction control is terrible on snow or ice. The best thing to do if you're on an un-plowed snowy road is to shut off the traction control, which is a little annoying because you have to go into "settings" every time. Other than that, I can't complain about a car that's been driven 21,000 miles per year with no major problems, starts up every day, and is cheap to insure. (also, I'm just a hair shy of 6 feet tall, and this little car has plenty of head and leg room for me, which is nice too)

Sporty SUV - Escape Titanium 2.0L AWD

I recently traded in my 2010 camaro to get more room and better winter driving. I researched and drove a lot of cars and I have never owned a ford, I liked the escape the best. I got the almost completely loaded Titanium version, I was a little scared off the price at the start but the car had a lot of great tech features that I liked and I was able to get close to $5000 off MSRP with incentives and negotiations (use True Car to save some $$$). The titanium has everything you could possible use in a car! The 2.0 L turbo also has good power. Mixed driving has been about 25 MPG so far. The car is solid overall and has everything you could think of for options on the loaded version.

Love it, if it weren't for all the rattles!

I really love everything about my escape, its the 2.0 turbo, but the interior rattles drive me nuts, and there's too many to even try and have "fixed". Sad that a vehicle with so few miles on it sounds like a 300,000 mile car. infact, I drive my '71 Chevy truck more because it's almost rattle free and 45 years old. I would really love it if it was quieter inside, but I'll probably have to get rid of it for something better built.

Not As Good As Expected !

Having owned Fords previously with little to no trouble, this Escape has not been as good. The ride is very jittery, but it does handle well with good brakes. The AC has quit working twice with no help for the dealer since he could not replicate the problem. Now the rear hatch panel/handle has broken and is going in for repair. The gas mileage is not anywhere close to the window sticker, I actually get better mileage from my Mustang ! This is not going to be a long term keeper but still too new to trade and lose our shirt. Our Escape is one year old with approx. 10,000 miles.
