Ford has a HUGE problem on their hands!!!!!!!

03/2/42021. Updated: If you buy a 3.5L Duratec V6 be very aware that the WATER PUMP is inside the engine with the timing Chain. This IS A FLAWED DESIGN!!!!!!!! FORD SHOULD STEP UP! You have no idea water pump is going because the coolant that would leak outside the engine if the pump were external does not!!!! Where does it go you ask.......It goes inside your engine block into your OIL!!!!!! NOT GOOD be very hesitant to buy a 3.5L duratec V6 unless you already know this!!! Now have a 4000Lbs. paperweight sitting in my garage with NO VALUE if I was was able to repair it like most normal water pump failures it would be affordable repair......under $2000!!!! Not with the Duratec.....My mechanic said it would be Thousands!!!!!!!! It is like having a timing Belt done but worse!!!!! Oh and they recommend you do your timing Chain while they do that. EXTRA!!!!! Would be normal on a normal engine but not this cash cow!!!!! Car is worth $4000 wholesale 6000 retail!!!!!!!! THANKS FOR LOUSY ENGINEERING FORD!!!!!!! Moron who designed that engine!!!!!!!! Always USE A GOOD SYNTHETIC OIL and change your coolant every thirty thousand!!!!!! If you have one! Old review: Have had Our 09 EDGE SEL WITH VISTA ROOF for 2+ years and love most of it. This car has been great except for the air conditioning. If the temp outside is over 75 degrees...FORGET ABOUT IT! AC STINKS ARSE. Have had it recharged and tested. Have cleaned filter screen behind glove box. Weak as water! I think FORD should be ashamed of themselves they know this AC system sucks and should be responsible and RECALL all EDGES 2007-2010. Have heard they know it is a manufacture defect that causes some of the refrigerant to bypass the condenser! Everyone I know who has an EDGE says the same thing...The AC STINKS!!!!!!!!!! IF you are looking to buy one test drive it on a very hot day with salesman.
