I love my Dodge Ram. On the highway it runs smooth and strong. Off road it goes where ever I want to go. I love the space in the cab and my kids love the space in the rear seat. This is by far the best truck I have ever owned.

If it wasn't free to me....no way. There's not many trucks, let alone one by Dodge that can command a $45k price....not worth it just to get a cool powerful motor.

This is the third dodge ram i have purchased 97, 00, and now 2004 wow!! it is the most powerful and beautiful at the same time, with the HEMI POWER that my husband loves and i only know it drives great.

This is a great truck. I average 18 mpg on the highway using mobil one synthetic oil. 8000 miles-No problems

With a slightly modified '96 RT/10 already nestled in my garage, I didn't expect the truck to rival its performance. It doesn't. After all, it's hauling around nearly a ton more in curb weight. But this baby is plenty quick and fun to drive. It's thirsty at 10.3 mpg, about what I get from the RT/10 under reasonably normal (?)driving conditions. Bottom line - it's nice to have an "almost" Viper with electric windows, good air conditioning, a radio you can hear, and a truck bed for the golf clubs.

Our family of five traded in a Dodge Caravan for our new 2004 truck. This vehicle has more leg room, seating, and storage than our van. I never knew. Our truck is Patriot Blue and we are a military family. That lead the way for a full patriotic customization job which we've done. This vehicle is fun, tough, and comfortable. Yes, I would change some things but not much. We love our truck. It's actually my wifes...she makes sure everyone knows it too.

What awesome Hemi power. Blows away most other cars and trucks. Bought used at 5000 miles and added cruise and power locks. Just drove 3000 miles in rain, snow and sleet including mountain driving and freeways. Averaged 16.5 mpg at 75 to 80 mph and a big load in the bed. Love this truck! No repairs, only oil changes since purchase.

(9.3 miles Per Gallon is the best I got around town. Hope it gets better when the motor brakes in.

Actually broke down in the first 35 miles. Dealer was outstanding in getting bad wiring repaired. Still the best truck owned.

Best vehicle I have driven for overall comfort and versatility. The ride compares to many luxury vehicles. The 4.7L could use more power on steep uphill grades. High frontal and side winds cause some steering issues, but not enough to be a safety issue. Fuel economy needs to be addressed.

Over-all, I would certainly buy another Dodge Ram. The money was well spent. I have owned the truck for 2 years and I had only one problem that was corrected. I can't think of one negative comment to make about the Dodge Ram.

At delivery ran well. Recalled at 685 miles. PROM reflashed, now down on power. Dyno tested, power down. 2 dealers & Factory Rep drive and tell me that its OK. 7 years = 7 new vehicles, never treated this bad. Dyno tested, DC will not recognize Dyno sheet, they do not have the correct equipment to do their own test. Factory won't do anything. Frustrated. Documenting as I go and writing a letter to CEO of DaimlerChrysler, I am trying to pursue all reasonable remedies. Wife says she really likes the Chrysler Crossfire, but what about customer service. Looking at S55 Mercedes and was close. The way I have been treated it might be an M series BMW.

This truck is awesome. I think you need to get the 20's if you get anything. Powerful, sharp looking and fun to drive. I just got my first ticket so watch the speedometer.

The 5.7 hemi is awsome for towing or heavy loads but gas mileage is awful! The truck rides unblievably good, light or loaded and its ashort wheel base!

I bought my first Dodge pickup, and I am very pleased. Chevy and Ford make great pickups, but it was hard to justify paying three to four thousand dollars more.

I really like this truck. It doesn't have the best mileage, but worth it. It is light in the back but okay. Overall this is a great truck.

I've had this truck for 8 months, and I've enjoyed her. I've added a CD player and subwoofer, having a camper top (bought her with it) helped when moving home at end of college year. I'm a big guy (6'2") and I fit perfectly in the driver seat, the white faced gauges are easy to see/read. The lack of shelving behind the seats were a dissappointment, so i built some of my own. The 4.7L at times seems underpowered but gets the job done satisfactorally. All and all, she is a great truck.

It is built with a lot more steel than Chevy (which I used to own) or Fords of which I drive at work daily. The turning radius is much better and the anti slip differential is a great addition. More room and great looks.

This truck is a true dream to own.I have not had a better truck.I have had a Ford and GMC before and they do not even come close.

We love our Dodge Hemi! We have driven tthroughthe rough desert terrain, and pulled horses with it. We love how roomy the interior is; We eat our food on the huge arm between us, like as if it were a table, when we are on the road. We think it is the toughest loking, that actually performs up to its appearance!

ever since i could remember, i always looked forward to my dad bringing home a new ford truck, every couple years. i too, bought fords in the past, but then decided, i didnt need something so big and the ranger was too small, so i looked at the dakota.after 3 strong years without a single problem, we bought a camper and we started looking at the big trucks again.i just couldnt seepaying the ford price, i looked at the new ram and fell in love! especially for the deal we got. later, after buying our 4 door 4x4 with the hemi, the new ford came out. glad i went with the dodge. the ford is smaller and less powerful and still costs way too much.

Was very disappointed with this truck when the highway mileage claim for the Hemi 5.7 was 18 and the actual was closer to 13. The steering feels like there isn't enough caster. Go across a railroad crossing a little fast and you will think its all about to end. The interior is nice as long as you dont have to sit on the seats. Mine is the Laramie and the seats are hard and not comfortable. Had a power steering line blow and had to wait a week for a part. This was my first new Chrysler product and also my last. The engine is powerful but with that kind of fuel mileage I would expect Viper performance.

This is an awesome ride for a performance oriented driver. The power, suspension, appearance, and sound system are combined in a great package. This is a specialty truck, not well suited for towing or carrying large loads. It is a ton of fun as a street cruiser. The super acceleration and highway cruising is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

MY RAM TRUCK IS EQUIPPED WITH THE 5.7 HEMI MOTOR. IT HAS POWER TO SPARE. AND IT IS VERY FUN TO DRIVE. I LIVE IN NORTH OHIO. WE HAVE HAD A LOT OF SNOW IN THE PAST MONTH. MY TRUCK LAUGHS AT THE SNOW. SINCE I AM OVER 6'AND 260LB IT IS HARD TO FIND A VEHICLE TO FEEL CONFORTABLE IN. THE RAM TRUCK HAS PLENTY OF ROOM AND THEN SOME FOR 6 PEOPLE.

This truck is a true street racer.The 500 hp is very eaisly felt from its idle to pushing you hard back into the seat with unbelievable power. The srt10 is more fun to drive than muscle cars of th 1970 era. runs great at any speed. This truck is a toy, I do not think it would be a good every day driver due to terrible gas milage {7mpg}
I do drive it daily, and LOVE IT

I bought the SRT 10 to replace my other dodge 5.7 although I had it up to 425 hp. Gas E/mpg is about the same as the Hemi, plus in Chicago you need to be faster just to merge in traffic because no one will let you in but in the SRT they don't have a chance. Stock right now adding an HX40 turbo very soon. Plus nothing beats a Ram. Semper Fi.

This was my first truck and I love it. I drove a honda civic for many years but needed a truck when I bought my first house. I will never own anything else but a Dodge truck the rest of my life. Useful and a blast to drive.

Mine is actually an '02 but since Edmunds doesn't take previous years into account for current reviews, I'm posting it here. This is my first Dodge. A friend owned an 02 Ram and raved about it so I test drove and decided to buy it as I needed a new truck This is a phenomenal ride. Power, styling, features and it's quality! Over 30k on it, it had 1 recall (blower motor fan which I had done when I got my oil changed) no problems whatsoever. It's worth every penny!

This is a monster truck. Definitely more "truck feel than a Ford". We test drove the new Ford and it resembled a floating car. The engine sounds good, the size is better. We have had references to it as being the "Cadillac" of trucks. We can fit adults in the back seat just as easy as in the front. The sound system is great. This is a purchase we have no regrets about.

Moved up from Dakota and could not be happier. Excellent creature comforts such as auto pedals and controls easy to access. Seats six in comfort and handles like a car.

My prevous dodge was a 2000 4 door 2 wheel drive. Comfert was everywhere. nice ride , Poor brakes tho had to replace cailpers and rotors at about 30000 miles, traded to the 2004 4 wheel drive quad.. first thing I noticed was the fuel milage..It sucks! cost about 40 bucks to fill once a week, and has a stiff ride. The kids love the 4 full size door and the room in the back. I purched a tonno cover and step bars so I could get in and out of the truck without breaking my neck. Oh and by the way..have you priced 17" tires latley?..Dodge is the only one putting 17s on thier trucks..replacement cost is going to be like 250 to 275 each...wheres my 2000?

I cant understand why my fuel milage is so low compared to what was on the sticker.Around town 9.9 on a trip the best I could do and thats taking it easy is 11.7.Why Is this ? What can I do to get least 15 on the road .It was suppoe to get 18 but I would settle for 15 THanks

I love this truck. The drive is smooth and the handling is great for a big vehicle. With the 5.7L Hemi engine it has a lot of power and pick up off the line. I have the sport package with the 20" wheels, which really makes the truck look awesome. I get compliments on this truck all the time.

This is the best looking truck on the market. It took me a few weeks to get used to driving something that large. It drives exceptonally smooth (especially for a 4 wheel drive truck). Mine is a 2002 and the Hemi didn't come out until 2003 so I'll go for that option when I trade for a new one. Many people tell me that's a NICE truck.

Bought the Hemi Quad CAb 2wheel version and it's the quitest, smoothest and ergomomically friendly truck I have ever had. Obviously the Hemi has great pep and is fun to drive. Major performance/efficiency mods are easy to make to increase both performance and gas milage. Great job from Dodge...go figure?

When I first drove the 2004 Dodge SLT w/ the 5.7 I was shocked by the ride & power. My wifes loaded suv w/ the air ride didn't ride this good. The power is there if you need it. It has enough room for a family. To exterior sold me...the truck is just beautiful. Interior great...can't complain. Not the best on gas...but I would still buy it even if regular was 2.50 a gallon....
