Awesome vehicle!
Let me start by saying that I have never owned an American made car. However, after doing a year of research and test drives, it came down to the Citadel. This was a late entry, since it just came out, but nothing else compared. The inside is pure luxury, not cheap plastics as before. The Acadia Denalis was second, but really there is little comparison.
I'm now a Dodge Fan.
The Durango has it all. Plenty of room and cargo space. Rides very smooth and quiet. The biggest surprise is the fuel economy. The EPA rating is 16 cty - 22 hwy. We're averaging between 19.5 to 21.5 and on the hwy at under 70 mph we're above 25 mpg. Don't let Consumer Reports fool you into thinking the Transmission is it's weak spot. It's a Mercedes Tranny used a few years back in thier AMG Cars because it has a very high Torque resistance. It is also very efficient. Maybe some more gears wouldn't hurt. Anyway, we travel to Myrtle Beach, which is 900 miles away. We could make it all the way with one stop, a little more than half way, for gas. Pretty cool. They've done a great job with th

Great SUV
Been driving Durango for 2 weeks, getting 21 - 22 mpg mostly city. Excellent suv , quiet ride, heated and cooled seats, clear sound system. Third row comfortable for 6 ft adult. Did alot of research / test drives, the Durango is the best kept secret in the marketplace. Now consumer reports recommends.

Went to Oregon from Wisconsin and back put on 5341 miles without a problem has a 3.6 engine good gas mileage I feel was a great buy for the price.

New Citadel 5.7 Hemi Review
Pleasantly surprised. I had really wanted to get an Audi Q7 but the third row is unusable for anyone over 5 ft tall so my wife vetoed the Q7. We test drove the Enclave and Acadia, then finally the Durango Citadel. The Citadel handling is excellent and has some German qualities to it, it should since Mercedes is using the same platform! Interior materials are a huge upgrade from previous Dodge products I have seen, not quite Audi quality, but probably 90% there. The third row has room for life sized adults, I sat it in it and fit fine - and I am 6ft 1. The touch screen nav is easy to operate, bang for the buck with the Citadel is excellent in my opinion.
