Used 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Consumer Reviews
No Car, No rental or loaner, No ETA to fix
My 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid has been at dealer service department for approximately 4 weeks of the four months since delivery. Latest is a red warning light which says "Hybrid Electrical Service Required". Dealer says it needs new transmission and those are backordered indefinitely. Does anyone know if those transmissions are even being produced? Dealer doesn't provide loaners or rental, and Chrysler Cares won't reimburse rentals until service is completed - but there is no ETA from dealer on when transmission will arrive and so no estimate on service completion. So - No Car / No Rental / No ETA to resolve. Not happy.
Batter AND gas tank issues
I will begin by saying that I really want to love my minivan. I love the look of it and I love the features. But I cannot stand Chrysler and we have had one issue after another. For the last eight months the battery has been under recall. We were never informed by Chrysler that our battery was a fire hazard. I learned myself by seeing an article online. At the time I had spoken with the dealership and had the car in several times, as we were currently experiencing major gas tank issues. No one ever mentioned the recall. With gas prices what they were this summer, having a “hybrid vehicle” where the company was asking you not to use the hybrid feature was infuriating. For the last ten months our car has been having issues with the gas tank sensor. We can add about 50 cents of gas at a time, with the tank constantly sending the signal the tank is full, no matter how empty. Sometimes the pressure builds up to where the gas just shoots back out at you. We have had it in the dealership at least eight times with three attempts at fixing it. It’s still broken. The gas tank button doesn’t work either. So this summer we were left with a hybrid car that would barely take on gas, but also might start on fire if you plug it in. Great! After eight months of this, last month Chrysler finally called and offered me a $250 gift card. It would be available in a few days. I thought to myself “that’s the least they could do!” Shocker. The gift card never arrived. After calling every day for weeks, I finally received a call back telling me there is “a glitch in the system“ and the card will eventually come, though they couldn’t/wouldn’t give me any timeline. After everything we have been through with this vehicle, it was the icing on the cake and beyond insulting to be offered such a measly amount of money and then have the money never arrive. Stay away from this company. Their customer service is horrible. They are doing absolutely nothing to solve these issues. I finally received a letter in the mail sharing the February recall and informing me that there was a fix available. If I had not found the article myself, I would have been driving around this entire time never knowing that my battery was at risk of fire. I love the look of this car and I wanted this to be a vehicle that lasted us through the years. Unfortunately it has been nothing but trouble.

Amazing minivan
We purchased our Pacifica Hybrid Limited in February. With 3400miles on the odometer it typically shows 65mpg. This is because 80% of our daily use involves round trips under 50 miles. On long trips with no electric charge it gets around 33mpg. When it sees only electric recharge use it shows around 85mpg, but that is a conversion due to the cost of electric. I calculated the cost of driving this vehicle with 80% electric and 20% gas. For me, it’s around 4.5cents per mile which is about 1/4 the cost of a gas minivan.

Great family wheels
Love the room the drive from Ontario to Florida proved to be comfortable and problem free. AC worked great heating worked great. handles in the snow very well and in the heat. Really put to the test and was just pure pleasure to drive everywhere with it. so pleased with every aspect of the vehicle. If this lasts like our Caravan 13 years and 286,000 km really problem free and still 7000 at trade in. Very pleased with Chrysler It’s now March 2025 and still absolutely LOVE the Pacifica

Had to replace both Batteries
Car doesn't have 7000 miles yet and this car already had so many problems, i had to replace both Batteries before the car even had 5000 miles which I paid out of pocket since the avrage time to get an appointment at a Chrysler service center was between 1 to 2 months and the Batteries were completely dead. transmission is horrible, jerking, hard shifts, failure to shift gears when needed, etc. The suspension is horrible when I drive on the slightest bump or pothole you feel like sitting in a loose box of matches, evrything is shaking
