Used 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Consumer Reviews
worst ever!!
we have had it in the shop more often than my 12 year old camry. In 4 years of ownership we have had 7 major issues with 4 of them falling under the warranty luckily but the others not. We even had the front hood show signs of rust and corrosion in year #2. ridiculous! selling and buying sienna!

So far so good, don't expect help from your dealer
We love our van! Great fuel economy and range. Handles well and has a powerful engine. I do all the maintenance myself and keep it on time and thorough. 60k plus miles now and it still runs like new. However, we have had bad luck with service at the dealer with past Ram, Chrysler, Dodge products and refuse to ever go there for service. Which is not good if there is a recall. And there was one that came in the mail just the other day for this 2018 Pacifica. However, our van was past the mileage. But don't worry, the sensor may or may not fail in traffic. Chrysler isn't what it used to be. Ram has 23 recalls on the new 2019! But no one noticed because of COVID. Buyer beware and do you research before buying anything. And for those who say buy only Japanese. Well, there was the whole exploding Japanese airbag thing "takata".

So Far, So Good
I purchased my pre-owned/certified Pacifica a few weeks ago and it is welcome step up from my 2013 Impala LTZ, which was not aging well. The ride, driving position, and visibility that the Pacifica offers is overwhelmingly superior to that of my previous car and an upgrade to my wife's 2014 Town & Country. Gas mileage is decent for a vehicle of its size and weight, which I think will be very much appreciated over the next four years.

6th Chrysler Minivan Owner
We have now owned 6 Chrysler minivans since 1989. We have not experienced the negativity that people talk about. Our minivans all have gone over 200,000 unless they we’re totaled in a Deer Hit. I have a 1997 AWD Town & Country that will be retired soon. The 18 Pacifica we currently own is a wonderful vehicle. My wife is just in love with it. We just got back from another Wisconsin to Florida Panhandle Vacation. When my wife packs yup she’s one of this kitchen sick people that over packs every time. I constantly apologize to the van for the over load. But we averaged 26.6 mpg with a smooth quiet ride. Drives wonderful. Only complaint is the Auto Stop Start. Thank God there is a button to shut it off. I just wish I could remember to shut it if every time I start the vehicle. I am so glad my 15 Buick Verano doesn’t have it. The Auto Stop Start is an absolute annoyance. Outside of that our 7th Chrysler Pacifica will be AWD. I have noticed that this model for towing is ok but not as good traction as previous models. We will be buying a Buick AWD Enclave to tow our boats around. Need the 5,000lbs towing capacity. We have been married 38 years and never had children. The Chrysler Minivans suit our lifestyle. UPDATE: We bought a used 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Touring L Plus with10,000 miles on it. It was a Rental Vehicle and this didn’t bother us at all. We have purchase 4 other rental vehicles without being sorry. This is our 6th Chrysler Minivan since our 1st in 1989. We are now in our mid 60’s married 38 years and never had children. These Chrysler Minivans are awesome cheap to repair and extremely reliable. We just retired a 1997 Chrysler Town & Country AWD. We kept it around as and treated it as a work pickup truck, and it took the beating we dished out. We hauled boats, snowmobiles all over. We just retired it with 270,000 miles because a Deer ran into the side of of it. To expensive to repair and it needed new tires. So we bought a new 2023 Chevrolet Traverse because we need AWD and 5,000 lbs towing capacity and minivan type storage. Our Pacifica sucks for towing specially on our Crushed Stone Driveway at the Lake House. The old AWD Town & Country was like a locomotive. Nothing stopped it. Strong and Dependable. So we new that a New Pacifica with AWD would not fit our needs because the towing capacity is only 3,600 lbs. If it would pull 5,000 lbs hands down we would have considered it. Would we buy another Pacifica for a daily drive and for our retirement trips? Absolutely but it would definitely be an AWD version just for safety reasons. We love our Pacifica and would never consider changing brands. Just the ability of the Stow & Go Seating is a 1000% benefit. As we got older the burden of removing the seating in our 1997 Town & Country was just that a burden. We drive to Destin, Florida from Northwestern Wisconsin every year and this Pacifica is Lexus Nice. Smooth quiet ride with an easy 27 to 28 mph with a wife that packs the kitchen sink. When we take it to the Lake Home for the weekend that we know we aren’t going to need it for towing and the wife did not pack the kitchen sink 28 - 29 mpg is not unrealistic. We are planning on buying a 2024 or 2025 AWD Pacifica when that time gets here. We do not see our lives without a Chrysler Minivan. They are just so handy and convenient to own. It’s a Win, Win, Win To Own.
