Most disappointing Chevy in my 63years

The Chevy dealer gets a 1. The vehicle... I am a 63yo Chevy man who has owned fords too and after this rattle can, I will never BUY another chevy. It sounds like its falling apart at idle. The engine at 47,000mi sounds like 175,000mi are on it. It stears fine. Yes stears... like riding a bull by the horns. If not for the clever turbo, this trax would be a good boat anchor.the transmission is still antique 70s, the bluetooth is so slow that the head unit playback is really 2seconds behind my headset ( on dual BT audio). As soon as my loan is low enough I will trade in on a KIA or MAZDA. Probally a FORD.

Excellent value for the money. Acceleration excellent for such a small engine. Surprised w/ the gas mileage. Handling is fine. Space is excellent. I like it better as time goes on. Add to above. Stuff above still holds. I don’t know why consumer reports pans this car. It’s the same car as the Buick Encore. And Buick gets generally good reviews. I think its the best cheap car on the market and is very reliabl

A great replacement for the HHR

I have owned an HHR for five years and loved it. It was the perfect compromise car for my needs: good gas mileage and workable as a business car with enough usable cargo space to carry lumber, concrete, or other building supplies for our farm. Unfortunately, it was totaled in an accident, and the HHR is no longer made. Luckily, I found the Trax at a year-end sale, meaning that I was able to stretch my payout from the insurance company to be able to afford a new one. So far, I have to say that it is a great replacement for the HHR. It has the same room for lumber inside as the HHR after you put the seats down. The roof rack is an actual working one , as it is made of metal and tied into the frame of the car, unlike the HHR which had a rack made of plastic that was just attached to the outer skin of the car. As soon as I can create the cross beams to go between the two rails, I will be able to haul full sheets of plywood or drywall on top. The Trax also get better mileage than the HHR, as I have been averaging about 30 mpg in town (the HHR was at 26). The only complaints so far are : 1) to put the second row seats down, you have to first pull up the seat and then drop down the folding backs and 2) the storage area behind the second row is smaller than the HHR, meaning that I will have to put the second row seats down more often.

Poor quality and cheap car

I bought my Trax new. I have had it 5 years and have put about 71,000 miles on it. About a year ago, the car started leaking oil so I took it to the dealer. The turbo had to be replaced. The car has been crap since then. I have had to take the car in 5 times in 1 year due to crappy construction and poor work by the dealership. The car was under warranty, but each time I took it in it seemed the car drove worse after being repaired. It is now very loud. At one point I took it to Firestone for a simple oil change and before they even started working on it they told someone had put a helicoil in the car. The dealership denied it and refused to pay to fix it. I have stopped going to the dealership for any repairs. I took my car to a local mechanic that fixed multiple things and the car works better than it has in over a year. I was hoping this car would last me 7 to 10 years, but I am going to have to get a new car soon. This is a crappy car, Chevy just slapped something together and didn't care. The mechanics at the dealership are horrible and put used or shoddy parts in the car. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR! You will regret it.

With the exception of lacking a cd player, I have no complaints. It is much roomier than you would suspect from looking at the outside. Great gas mileage as well!
