Used 2002 Chevrolet Malibu Consumer Reviews
Second time was the charm
I purchased my vehicle 4/12/02 brand new had only 13 miles on it. Drive it off the lot and 20 minutes later had a problem with the engine and brakes. The car had to be towed to the dealer the next day, and after heavy negotiations I received another Malibu. Happy to report it runs perfectly. Was a little worried since I traded in a Honda Civic for it. Hope to keep on trucking for at least 7 years.
Honda Who?
Love this Car! Chevy really did it's research. Drives beautifully! Feels like and quick, not like a traditional American car. Great styling. Doors shut firm, light. 4-Cylinder is extremely fast and powerful. Car is bigger than cars in it's class, yet lighter than most. Drives great!

'02 Malibu LS
I purchased my Malibu as my first car out of college, So far I am very pleased. My only additions are window vents and XM radio
Best car that I ever owned
I have covered 105,000 miles in the last 4 and a half years. Never had a single problem except for a plastic handrest breaking during warranty. Changed brakes once and spent $120 for the 100,000 mile service and changed all tires at 95,000 miles. My wife loves Japanese cars but after seeing my Chevy, she switched to GM as well. I am waiting for the 2008 Malibu to upgrade.
What were you thinking Chevy?
I love Chevys but not this one. This has been a terrible car for me. I have so far invested about 3000 dollars in repairs. Fuel pump went, heater core, complete ignition and ignition harness needed to be replaced because car would not start, antifreeze leak, rotors, and several other smaller repairs. All these repairs were done when the car had less than 90000 miles. I love my 1998 Cavalier and my 2008 Silverado, but I would never recommend this car.
