Vastly improved car over prior generations

Greg Miller, 09/09/2016
2017 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS 2dr Coupe (6.2L 8cyl 6M)

I have previously owned a fourth generation and a fifth generation Camaro. The fourth gen had good handling and surprisingly good fuel economy (especially for a V8), but was rough around the edges. The fifth generation was a porky car that seemed slower and while nicely styled, was impossible to see out of. It seems like GM got it right for this particular version. The acceleration (V8) is the quickest of any production car I have ever purchased, while the handling is glued to the road and the braking is first rate. But outside of the sports/muscle-car aspects, the biggest improvements are in refinement and features. In short, it is actually a nice to borderline luxurious interior that is comfortable with logical controls and well-laid-out instrument clusters and displays. The seats are essentially perfect, and even things like the steering wheel feel like they were made with optimal comfort in mind. Features like the controllable vehicle modes (Touring/Sport/Track/Snow-Ice) are a nice plus. Another plus (with the optional dual model exhaust I have) is that the car makes it clear that it is serious - the only description I have for it is that it snarls like it is angry with a don't-mess-with-me-attitude whenever you stomp on it or first fire it up. There are still negatives to the car - the biggest one is that while it is improved, the outward visibility is still not great. Another negative is the back seats are really only fit for children or small adults, so this is best thought of as a Corvette with back seats. But the pluses of the car easily win out. One other note - while I have always been a stick-shift driver, this is the first automatic vehicle (with the optional A8) I have owned that I actually like. The shifting of the auto is first rate. I am also seeing almost 27 MPG on the highway with my admitted lead-foot driving. All in all, this is by far the best muscle car I have ever purchased in a continual stream of them I have had all the way back to my high school days.

Fiftieth Anniversary 2017 Camaro RS

2017 Chevrolet Camaro 2LT 2dr Coupe (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 6M)

First let me explain - I have a 2017 Camaro RS 2LT V6 with Automatic - 50th Anniversary Edition. I was not given this choice by Edmunds! It is a great car. This is the third and so far the best Camaro I have owned. The ride is smooth and acceleration is wonderful. It is extremely comfortable and fun to drive (fast). FYI - I got the V6 engine because it takes regular gas not premium like the 4 Cylinder Turbo and the V8. After a two years of ownership, my Camaro has been very reliable. The only time it has seen service is for an oil change. It is also a blast to drive! This one was a keeper until my three year outgrew the back seat and started kicking the back of my seat! I since traded it for another fun car to drive - A Mini Cooper S Clubman All4.

Camaro V6 is Awesome!

Andrew, 03/06/2017
2017 Chevrolet Camaro 1LT 2dr Coupe (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 8A)
39 of 41 people found this review helpful

Edmunds does not have a catagory for a V6 engine, only the turbo 4 or the V8. I have the Camaro 1LT V6 automatic. I always bought V8 muscle cars over the years, but this V6 has plenty of power and sounds great with the performance exhaust option. Ride comfort is good, the seats are really comfortable (I'm 6'3"), acceleration is excellent, and the cars handles and brakes well. I like the V6 option because it makes the car a good daily driver, with a lighter front end (compared to the camaro ss with the V8), and gas mileage is good, I get around 22 mpg combined. Also, the V6 engine takes regular gasoline, the V8 and turbo 4 require 91 octane, so there is a savings at the pump. Reviewers talk about the poor visibility. Its really not bad at all, I have no complaints. Its all around a great car, and I don't feel like I want the V8 at all. Check the V6 camaro out, it's fast and fun. I love it.

Who cares if this is a mid-life crisis???? This is the funnest car to drive I've ever owned. I was worried about the 4cyl Turbo, but my son, who is a mechanic, talked me into trying it. It claims to be capable of getting 30mpg on the hwy, and it probably does if you keep your foot out of the floormat. But so far, I've had a hard time doing that. This car is so tight in all aspects - handling, acceleration, styling, technology. I have the Rally Sport edition. UPDATE: After owning this car for two years now, I am still loving it as much as the first day. It does great on the freeway, mountain roads, and side streets, and I just returned from a trip and got 30mpg.

4 cylinder turbo guy here...

This car is awesome! There is no other way to describe it. Bought at Diver Chevrolet in Wilmington. Great dealer, great salesman, Scott Fisher...Great deal on this car. Traded in a 2003 Monte Carlo and bought a 2017 Camaro. The car runs great and looks great. The instrumentation is laid out perfectly. The front seats are well laid out. The back seats are a very tight squeeze, but doable on a short trip for adults, kids should be ok. I don't know why people complain about visibility, I see out front and back fine. I even parallel park this car. Plus, you have a video assist for back up. Sirius radio free for 12 months, and it is a Camaro! What more do you want? If you want a 6 or 8 cylinder that's great, but the 275 hp with 30mpg on the highway, suits me fine! Plenty of compliments on the car as well from family and strangers. Runs so smooth, fast, and great, you are driving a dream! I buy a new chevy every 13 years...1990 Cavalier, 2003 Monte Carlo, and 2017 Camaro, I couldn't be happier! Go buy one! Enjoy it!

Pocket-friendly coupe with a bang!

This review is aimed for people who, like me, are buying their first ever dependable trusty car. Been driving a lot of the family's big SUV's prior, so wasn't really expecting to get a coupe, until I saw the potential out of it. With the respectable hp and decent mpg, I pretty much was interested; after the test-drive, it got me hooked. Plus the price tag doesn't really hurt as much as I'd thought it would be (I was considering mid-size suvs prior). Driving it was a comfortable ride, with the shifting as fluid and responsive as you expect it to be. The interior design was just stupendous, with the knobs just perfectly placed where they ought to be. The steering wheel and digital odometer are aligned well, giving glancing at it a complete breeze. The chevy mylink provides wonders, making my iphone more than an iphone. The trunk has commendable storage space, given its sporty nature. Plus the backseat cover can be folded down in case extra space is needed. Speaking of back seat, it was the biggest concern I had, seeing it had negative reviews in the forums. But lo and behold, I was able to fit 2 decent size human beings, with ample leg space (although the front seatbelts are somewhat blocking the way during entry, its something thats just petty). 6 footers and chunky lads will surely have a challenge fitting in, but thats another story. The advertised mpg wasn't bogus either, seeing a roundtrip of 300 miles had the gas tank emptied to only a half. And lets not really count the numerous heads it turned and respect it demanded whenever it is stationary. So all in all, this is definitly a car worthy to be considered as a dependable automobile.

Have had my Mosaic Black 2LT coupe with the V6 for 7 months now.. Love this car.. Looks great. Got the RS package with low gloss black wheels, performance exhaust, and 8 speed auto.. 1st automatic I have had in 20 years and its fine.. Everyone thinks the car has a V-* because of the dual exhaust and sound it makes while accelerating. It has plenty of power.. you have to remember that just a few years ago the SS V-8 only made 305 HP, and this V-6 makes 335, so it can fly.. comfortable up front, I don't sit in the back.. Tech works like it's advertised, Kalahari interior looks great with black outside.. Regular gas, but even more important, insurance premium only half of what SS was. If you are looking for a Sports, Muscle, or Pony car, you MUST drive the 2017 Camaro.. Period..

Lovin' My Gorgeour Silver Ice V6 1LT RS 'Vert

CruzinQueen, 03/25/2018

My previous car, which was hands-down the best car I have ever owned, was a 13 1LS V6 Manual Camaro - plain Jane. The new ride is a phenomenally equipped bargain of a car with loads of performance. I wasn't sure about going from a stick to an auto, however the speed and ergonomics of the paddle shifters have made those concerns disappear. There is even a quick downshift feature you can engage by holding the left shifter - it will automatically put the tranny in the lowest allowable gear and the car will snarl! I added an after market axle-back (same type I had on my 13) and the car really sounds amazing. The drop-top is fluid and folds down nicely, much like the Corvette, with the touch of a button. No boots to deal with, just a slick tonneau. This car looks like it costs a lot more money than it did and I get tons of complements. The silver ice paint is a perfect complement to the techy, sharp lines of the car and the RS package compliments the style even further with upgraded LED lighting and 20" wheels. The car also drives AMAZING - the sport mode gives the wheel a nice, tight feel and hugs the road. The chassis is stiff and sporty and the wind noise and cowl shake are way better than any other 'vert I have owned. Finally, the seats are extraordinarily comfortable for my 5'6" female frame. I have lower back arthritis that is aggravated by poor lumbar support. I can drive this car all day with zero pain! I LOVE my new convertible! Highly recommend it.

This is an occasional driver for me, not a daily driver thus it meets my needs perfectly. The only negatives with the car to me are: 1-Small backseat (doesn't matter to me at all as I use it as a 2 seater). 2- Low gas mileage on Premium (don't drive it a lot so not an issue) 3- Small trunk ( but extra storage space in back seat so not really a big deal). The positives: 1- Strong V8 power 2- Great handling 3- Just damn fun to drive. 4- Can't buy more performance for the money. The only other negative is that the paddle shifters on the automatic tranny are a little slow to react so just put the car in Sport or Track and let the auto do its own work when driving agressively. I've only put 2000 miles on the car so far but it has been bulletproof. Top fits very well with no leakage. (I would add that the local dealer changed the transmission fluid to a different grade and it dramatically improved the shifting of the transmission. Ask the dealer and they will do this under warranty, but only if asked and only if you tell them the transmission is slow to shift and not as smooth as optimal).

I bought my 2017 Camaro 2ss a year ago with just 40 miles on it in 2018. Sold my base '17 mustang gt for it. I love the Camaro, I was happy with my purchase until the first issue pop up. They told me that it was the ecu harness that camed loose which causes the car to bogged. They fix it. About 6-7 thousand miles on the odometer the transmission starts to shudder at cruising speed. Took it back to the shop and they flush the transmission. The problem went away, temporary. At 8k mile, the shudder return and for the second time I took it to the dealer to get it fix. Agian they just flush the transmission. On top of this issue, their was a recall on my car, which they never got back to me, currently. I figure this car that have only just 8k miles already had been giving me issues I fear how bad it is going to be in the long run once the warrenty expire, and when it expires, it'll surely be a endless money pit. This is my 1st Chevy and it'll be my last, I felt they are too cheap to give me at least a exchange and too cheap to provide a permanent fix instead of just bandages with transmission flush. I sold my car at a lost. Paid $41k for it and sold it for $28k. I love the car, the power, the technology. I plan to keep it for a long term but because of questionable reliability and Chevy's lack of finding a permanent solution forced me to rid of it before it drains my time and wallet dry. The Camaro I have is an 8 speed automatic transmission, not sure if the problem include the manual transmission. Either way I'm done with Domestics.

Great economy for a muscle car with the cylinder deactivation. Can get 34 mpg at 77 mph when it switches to V4 however in town economy not so great. Have experienced auto transmission problems that have been known to GM with shuttering at moderate acceleration. Lawsuits regarding this problem. GM needs a recall to fix the problem. They say it is the wrong transmission fluid that is causing the problem. However have read that torque converters are getting ruined. GM is just not taking care of this problem.

Stick shift sticks it to you

The manual transmission forces the driver to shift from first to fourth a great deal of the time. The owners' manual dictates it and states that if you don't follow the instruction to do so your transmission can be damaged. This negates the primary reason I bought a stick shift to begin with. If you want a stick, beware of this dictated shift pattern. I assume it is to help meet government milage standards, but it ruins the purpose of the stick.

I purchased my car at the end of the year in 2017. Untitled until me so yes, brand new in my book. Got a decent tradein value from my previous 2014 V-6 Camaro with low mileage. Took awhile to understand a 4 cylinder turbo engine. I've noted some tranmission "hesitations" but have had explainations from my follow-up dealership that the turbo causes such "hesitations" that are not indicative of a problem . Full transmission checkup has been done to my satisfaction. I LOVE the turbo aspect and use it when necessary. I noted a review questioning the purpose of the turbo, but it suits me just fine. My gas mileage is outstanding and only somewhat diminished because of turbo "use" at times. Owning this "little" Camaro is a joy, which is hard to explain. I would love to upgrade to a SS package but that so far is in my dreams. Perhaps when I reach 70 . (currently 67 years of age and female which seems to entertain anyone who sees me driving my car!) This is my fourth Camaro with the first being a 1969 307 Camaro at age 21 years. Finally a 2012 V-6 six years ago;then a 2014 V-6 and now my 2017 4cylinder Turbo. I refuse any other car! Thanks Chevrolet for designing this "Mean looking" awesome , fun car.

Buyer beware! I bought a new camaro ZL1 earlier this year (March 2017). At a sticker price of almost $70k, it had every option checked off. The car drove great over the first month of ownership. It has been a train wreck ever since. With less than 1700 miles, the engine had to be replaced due to a valve head that broke off the stem in the engine. Since the replacement, I have been to the dealership at least 10 different times for various issues (coolant leaks, audio not coming on, alignment issues etc). Over the 9 months of ownership, it has been at the dealer over 60+ days. I have asked for a replacement and had to go so far as to file a BBB claim to get GM's attention. Still nothing. My first GM purchase and it will likely be my last if this situation is not resolved.

Sexy. Beautiful. Sick. Bad-ass. These are a few of the comments I have gotten from people that have seen me drive this truly amazing car. It is impractical, loud, gets poor gas mileage, and is a pain if you have more than one passenger, but none of that matters. The performance, agility, and pure excitement you get while driving makes none of that matter. I traded in a 2013 Camaro 2SS, which I loved, for this 1SS 1LE, and every drive impresses me more. With 460 HP, Electronic Limited Slip Differential, Magnetic Ride Control, Active Rev Matching, Adjustable Dual Mode Exhaust, and 4 driving modes, this is the most technologically advanced car Chevrolet currently offers. It is a blast to drive and it will change how you feel about American cars. The Generation 6 Camaro is slightly smaller than the previous model. It is fast and nimble, handles very well, and the frame absorbs nearly all of the bumps and bashes that our fine roads dish out. There are so many amazing features this car has; Valet, teen driver, and stealth modes, the front camera and data recorder, 4G LTE hotspot, OnStar, Sirius XM Radio, The list goes on and on. All for a price that is tens of thousands less than other similarly equipped cars.

GREAT Fun If You LUV to Drive!

This car has EXCEEDED almost all of my expectations! And, I STILL get at least one compliment a week from people seeing it. (I got the Arctic Blue with black metallic Rally stripes and black 20" wheels.) So, I'm going to tell you about the few oddities that keeps this car from being perfect. (By the way, my car is a 2SS with the 8A tranny. For some reason, that combo wasn't available to select.) This engine is a beast! To be blunt, 455hp is about all I can use where I live, and then for only a few moments. As the engine response is so quick, I have had to re-learn how to drive - to NOT floor it, but to 1/2 throttle it and adjust from there. Now, here's the first quirk: The transmission. Having just come from a fairly-new Infiniti Q60s with trans problems, I was hoping to not repeat that. This 8A IS better, but it's still NOT up to the rest of the car. It's just a little slow, but that's irritating. Another tranny quirk is that it's an "overly-helpful" automatic transmission. It has a "manual-shift"/paddle-shift mode; it's just too bad that it does NOT let one actually shift manually! The tranny keeps down-shifting for you!! Not knowing this, I almost blew my 900-mile engine one day when the tranny down-shifted the same time that I did! I suggest, when they make an A/T with a "manual mode", that they let the DRIVER shift at ALL times! Moving along, the next quirk is the center console lid and the USB/AUX jacks/ports. Someone at GM design must have had a bad day when they designed the L-shaped, padded, console lid to have a nice, looong side, AND to make it so that the lid LIFTS open from the front! It's nice to have a padded area under the driver's right forearm, but that could have been SEPARATE from the console lid! Or, they could have made the lid, as is, FLIP open on the side! This same cranky designer must have also been the one to put ALL the ports/jacks INSIDE the console box! Sheesh, my Mom's Jetta had sense enough to NOT do something like this! When you need to access a plug/port you have to open that looong console lid, and THEN dig around in the stuff you put in the console, to get to the hole/slots! BAD! Next, like everybody else, Chevy put the subwoofers in the door panels <facepalm> - which is REALLY bad, because this car has the BEST-sounding Bose system I have ever heard, and the door panels are NOT expensively made to begin with! (Manufacturers - PLEASE put subwoofers UNDER THE SEATS, like stereo shops do!!!) Already, the door panels vibrate to the music! Now, here's some piddly stuff: The Chevy-Connect system is good, but it can be very slow; The phone touch-charger station is too narrow for me to use ANY of my phones (without taking the cases off); And the auto-lights system is strange. It comes on when it's still too light, and I can't find a way to turn the auto system off and leave just the running lights ON - it's ALL, parking, or nothing. GM also has some neurotic thang going on with the electric sunroof system. One can only "Express" OPEN the sunroof with a quick control-button press. And even though EVERY other car I've owned does, and the Camaro manual SAYS you can, one can NOT "Express" CLOSE the sunroof. GM says it's designed that way. (Well then, why does the control have the same type switches for BOTH open and close!?) Soooo, when you're driving, and a sudden downpour hits, you have to drive AND keep the close-button pressed until the sunroof is closed! SMH The only actual problems I have had with the car are with the "smart key" system. At first, when I was around TV towers, it wouldn't detect the key outside the car. Then, in a couple of other places, it couldn't detect the key INSIDE the car. When that happened, the alarm system also always got triggered, which was great fun (not)! Replacing the "smart key" transceiver has seemed to fix this. Other than those things I've mentioned, it's a great car. Front seats are well-made (leather?), supportive and comfortable with some very neat features (memory, cooling, and auto-out/auto-in); The best ergonomics I have ever seen; Rear bucket seats for humans under 6(?) years of age; And a trunk that I have surprised myself (and others) with how much I can haul with the rear seats (1/both) folded down! Finally...For all of you complaining about the "vision" in a Camaro - that's just Chevy's way to tell you that this car is for an experienced driver who knows how to set his/her mirrors properly! (HINT: Choose to always place the car so as to back into the direction with the least traffic.) Yes, you need to get the rear camera and backing and cross-traffic warning system, to be sure. But, this is a sports coupe, not a SUV. This car is my daily driver. I live in a location which has, quite possibly, some of the dumbest residents. And I haven't come close to hitting ANYone/thing in the back or rear quarters. (Front wheel stops are my problem with the aero kit!) So, my advice; quit griping and get one.

I had been looking for a vintage Camaro to satisfy my desire for a weekend cruiser, but eventually started looking at contemporary muscle cars when the purchase price and maintenance of a fully restored 50-year old vehicle became prohibitive. I briefly entertained the Challenger, but found few configurations I liked under $30k. The Mustang was on the radar even less; while I liked its styling, its range of features in my budget for an extraneous weekend driver seemed substandard. I lastly looked at the new Camaro, which I probably should've looked at first given a vintage Camaro was tops on my list. The front-end styling on the 2019s was a huge 'meh', except for the 1LEs, but overall, I really enjoyed the cabin, the exterior styling (at least of the 16-18 trims), and the ride. Biggest problem, as with the Challenger and Mustang, was that if you wanted to stay south of $30k OTD, your list of amenities wasn't great. I had noticed, though, that there seemed to be a fair amount of new 2017/2018 Camaros that were still sitting on lots, unloved, unmoving, and ready for a new owner. With that in mind, I spent several weeks scouring the web for the best deal...and found one in a dealership only 50 miles away....a fully loaded 2017 2LT with the Technology, Convenience, Lighting, and God-Knows-What-Other packages. Final price was $27k after tax and new tag, a full $14k off of MSRP. The interior is just awesome, well appointed and luxurious, and I've had no problem acclimating to the lowered ride and reduced visibility, which is quite a bit different coming from a full size truck as a daily driver. The exterior styling is beautiful too, and I'm still smiling every time I walk by it. As for performance, being that it was primarily purchased as a weekend getaway car, its 0-60 times don't mean as much to me as the gas mileage (still averaging 30+ MPG after several tankfuls) and comfort, however the handling and acceleration have been pretty impressive those few times I've decided to push it. The reality is that new Camaro has been lagging behind the Mustang and Challenger in sales, which means there are opportunities out there to get a great deal on certain ones that are less desirable (like heavily optioned 2.0 turbos). With the 2019s being a bit of a flop due to the front end redesign, a nicely optioned 2017/2018 can be a great option and it can be had for a song...let the dealer take that massive depreciation loss for the first 2 years...while you drive away with a brand new car with its full warranty intact.

I only owned this car for a year but I did enjoy it for the time I had it. The turbo 4 was peppy when mated to the 6 speed manual transmission. It sits very low to the ground, which is to be expected. The long nose meant you have to be really careful when parking or turning into or out of steep entrances. The window switches were in an odd spot. I loved Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. When on calls though, people said they could hear my signals during the call. Thank goodness for the backup camera because rearward visibility was almost non-existant. Gas mileage was good but offset by the fact that premium/supreme fuel was required. It had a hill-start feature that prevented rolling backwards when on hills. I didn't really care for that. There should've been a way to disable the feature. I also didn't care for the electronic parking brake. The push button start sometimes didn't work properly and at times the smart-key wasn't detected. Seat comfort was good but I would've liked more supportive head restraints as in the Mustang and other Ford cars. The center console was a bit awkward as it had a long edge that served no purpose other than to open it. Once opened there was hardly any space for anything. It would've been nice to have an overhead console/storage area for sunglasses as there is no other place in the car for them. This was my same complaint on my 2012 Mustang. Overall though, I really enjoyed the car but just needed something a little more practical. Maybe in the future I'll get one again for a 2nd car.

ZL1 is a true coupe

Any sports car has always tradeoffs. Small back seat is always the norn. Most sports cars or ample or slightly above average in cornering / straight line acceleration / not usually both. The ZL1 is an amazing powerhouse & can handle curves like a top European race car. This is a 6.2 liter, LT4 making 650 horsepower & 650 torque. The car is a blazingly fast. I have the 6 speed manual, some will opt for the 10 speed auto. The car is just a mechanically amazing to drive, it takes whatever you can dish out. The power levels on this car are way above 90% of anything else & can keep up if not surpass cars costing 3x the money. Chevy is amazing what they made with the final product of the ZL1. Truly an engeering marvel.

This car is hands down, the fastest car I've ever owned and exceeds all expectations. I am thrilled with the car, the dealership (Bay Chevrolet) and the salesman (Jay Carter) where I purchased it. The only drawbacks is that the rear window has limited visibility and the back seat is extremely small, but I did not want a soccer mom vehicle. This car is the first thing on my bucket list and as great as it is, it will probably be the last. So fun to drive. Who says you can't have fun at 71.

Hands down the best performance car I have driven, even compared to a Ferrai 458 Speciale. The only annoying part is the forced shift from 1st to 4th. I intended to only drive it on weekends, sticking to my Malibu for daily driving, but you only live once. The gas mileage can be impressive if driven properly on highway, and 18mpg city.

I traded a 2006 G35 6mt coupe for my 2017 Camaro 1LT 2.0 Turbo (4Cyl). The V8 community is mostly against this platform and i was refused service at a few locations that specialize in GM performance over that. The 1LT doesn't have a boost gauge and it costs $300 to get an external one to read off OBDII port. The cost for aftermarket parts are competitive and affordable on most budgets, but it comes to a point of either having another toy or dropping thousands in upgrades to scratch the itch; I bought a 2005 Hayabusa for that reason. The good is I've gotten lots of compliments on looks; its great on gas, and i had the first service issue which the dealership charged me for which should have been covered by the warranty; I fought that. None of the exhaust system upgrades can change the sound to a desirable one so that's a disappointment. Im truly ready to pay the car off, keep it as a daily, and attain a beasty. Dec 2019 now I've passed the car onto my 19yrs old son for college and I bought an Lexus ISF.

Love that they put the french flag on the front fenders as my grandma was french. The camaro has been a fun car so far. The 4 cylinder is adequate as a power plant, decent gas mileage, but lack of sound. Interior room is less than stellar. Rear seating only for kids. Given the overall size of the car i'd give interior space an F.

Not many sports do all things well. The Chevy Camaro ZL1 is the pinochle of muscle cars. Not only is it blindingly fast, but can take a corner with the best of them. Most sports cars are a trade off doing one thing well. This is a monster on the street & race track. Ripping through the 1/4 mile in low 11s, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better performance machine for 4x the price. Hands down not only the fastest but most composed car I’ve ever driven.

I have always wanted a Camaro and I bought this one without even test driving one. The sensors are perfect since the visibility is not. The gas mileage is what I expected considering that it is a 6.2 V-8 sports car. The back seats are not passenger friendly, unless you and your passengers are under 5 foot tall. This are the only thing I can think that could be negative, but it doesn't bother me. This car, as with every Camaro ever produced, is absolutely beautiful. I promise it turns heads wherever we go. It seems like every other sports car driver instigates a race with me, sorry fellas, not til he's broke in. In all fairness, I have another car to keep the miles low on Karl( yes, his name is Karl). But I do miss driving it when I do. I am in love with this car.

I have had numerous Camaros, from a 1967 RS Convert through 2010 SS, 2014 SS2 convert, and recently purchased a 2017 convertible new. The hood and trunk area were absolutely filthy with mold/mildew and I had some funky issues with electronics on and off. But the worst was that you couldn't run the a/c unless the wipers were on (Florida) because the a/c pushes through the defrosters constantly. the dealer first said live with it, I found the fix from GM myself and after 2 weeks in the shop and a broken windshield they gave it back, said it could not be fixed and they were done as they said GM claims the car functions as it was engineered...so I spent thousands more to get them to take it back and buy a 2018 that doesn't smell like mildew, where the electronics seem to work very well, but the a/c still fogs the window terribly every morning. GM wouldn't help, nor did the dealer...I have purchased my last Chevy/GM product!

I live in Southeast Texas where we have very hot and humid days. When I am running the air conditioner the front windshield will begin to fog up. I took the car to my local dealer back in late 2017 and they told me it was normal and I would have to learn to adjust the air......NO THIS IS NOT NORMAL. I have owned many cars over the years (4 Camaro's) and NEVER had this problem. It is very irritating because driving to work in the morning I basically have to turn my wipers on and leave them on. I will NOT buy another camaro if this is "normal"

I got a 2017 Camaro 2.4 l turbo It was advertised for $27,000-$30,000 and the total cost ended up being $54,000 with the Gaff insurance also. Its a very nice car but $54,000 is pretty steep. Also, Its not very good on gas mileage either. The dealer at Sands Chevrolet weren't that knowledgeable about the car either. They just saw SUCKER! on my head, and also as advertised my payments should have been $399 - $400 a month with excellent credit , but instead they are $700 a month. I am going to get it refinanced this week. $700 a month, I could have gotten a Mercedes instead, But over all I love it. The gas mileage in the city on Tour selection instead of sport selection is showing 17.2 MPG and not 21 like they advertised.
