Pros and Cons - Blazer AWD Premier 6 cyl,
About Me: I'm 6' 3", my son is 6' 7". We look at GM as brand that supports tall drivers and passengers. I want a car that has safety features especially automatic braking, high resolution backup camera, and wide enough that 2 adults can share the center arm rest. ( I hate theaters with shared arm rests). I rarely tow, but want the option. 4WD is must in Canadian Winters. A heated steering wheel is a must for me. If your hands feel warm, the rest of you does too. Remote start should preheat or cool the cabin, not just start the engine. I look for a vehicle that has good handling and precise steering and no torque steer at low and medium acceleration. In 4WD no torque steer should be noticeable at high acceleration. Tech integration is important to me. The cons: The head room in the back is low for my 6' 7 son, he can fit a bit squashed. The adjust-steering wheel button on side of steering wheel can be hit by a tall persons knee causing the steering wheel to lower and crush knee. Two memory settings with 3 drivers is a problem. Lastly, the passenger side wiper pivots from the center of the car, leaving a "blind spot" for tall passengers. (I prefer pivoting from the edges which has better coverage. 21" tires are a bit noisy on bumpy roads. Doors don't automatically relock if you accidentally pocket-press. (yes option to auto-lock is selected). Hands free rear hatch open, often takes 2 try's of foot waving. The memory settings need more features to understand my wife and I like different display options. OnStar day-to-day use with a 10 minute response time is too slow to be useful. The SD card slot in a user accessible area with map data makes no sense to me. My SD card shows an error and after 1 month still trying to get a service appointment, was fixed with a new SD card. The discovered good: Gas mileage for me was better than sticker using adaptive cruise control on the highway. Engine changes to 4 cylinders when 6 are not needed. The twin clutch with torque vectoring pulls you through corners on the highway is so extremely satisfying, making you feel like you are driving on a banked turn. The rear head rests have tilt buttons on them, so that they don't hit the front seat when folding the rear seats down. All windows can be lowered from the remote ( just not raised). This helps as you approach the car on hot days. The wireless android auto and wireless charger are musts for my wife that hates wires and mess. Tested with iphone XR, and Samsung S21. Room for charging 2 phones would be nice though. The Vehicle's Amazon Echo is functional via cell phone without an OnStar data plan. This is handy. I have not had to clean the rear camera often. The automatic cleaner does the job perfectly. The headlight beam pattern is interesting. On my garage door this shows that light is projected in the most intelligent way with a hard horizontal line. I suspect these will perform well in fog and reduce light into the eyes of oncoming traffic. The seat cooling works but fan can be a bit noisy on high. Sun Visor vanity lights are soft-start, giving your eyes time to adjust. The awesome must-have features once you try them: Adaptive cruise control is amazing, its faster reacting than me, but controls speed much like I would. The must have haptic seat for alert warnings is so much better than beeping, especially when having conversations. It alerts you to the direction of the hazard. I want one of those for my XBOX. Rear Cross Traffic alert, sees things before I do. Hotspot access - I can connect the Blazer to my homes WIFI network, or to my cellphones hot spot. Bose Speakers - excellent HQ sound for streaming from phone. Sirius radio sounds flat and unappealing to me. Additional items after 8 months of ownership: The 4 wheel drive and handling in deep snow, 4 inches with a few 16 " snow banks to cross, was great with no notice pull to either side when accelerating or braking. Automatic braking works well, my wife has tested it 3 times! USB MP3 play back works great and saves some bandwidth The electronic parking brake works well, the main advantage is that no pedal or hand-lever needed, making more space available for your feet or console. Zero issues with the wireless phone charger, unlike my Chevy Cruze, which never worked with anything. Garage door open buttons do no light up, making them hard to find in the dark. More testing needed: Tire Fill Alert: did not beep when adjusting tire pressure resulting in over inflation. More testing needed, perhaps the pressure has to be lower first. Small issue with music streaming from my cell phone, with music pausing ever other second. This needs more testing and was cleared by turning the phone's WIFI on and off. Features Desired: Auto Tilt mirrors for parking. The car is wide parking spaces are not. 2 more loops at rear hatch to hang cargo net with 4 tie points. hooks that attach to cargo organizer bar to hold shopping bags. Cheap 21" winter rims. Brighter day time running lights. Paddle shifter or equivalent for downshifting before passing. Ejection seat on wife's side.

still waiting
2022 Blazer transmission went out. 7 weeks now and they say they cannot get parts. They won't take it back either. It has 13,000 miles and sits at a dealer. I say junk. Never again.

All Killer No Filler
Power is excellent with the 3.6 V6. The transmission shifts perfect. I would like to have seen the console have a built in phone holder but it’s not a necessity. The interior is sporty and there is head room for taller guys. Just a solid car all the way around.

Love my premier
Sporty looks and handling, comfy seats, lots of power with the v6, lack of head room? Give me a break, im 6ft tall and have never had so much head room! Plus tons of leg room front and rear. Great fuel economy if you drive like [non-permissible content removed] but not so great if you like to have fun. Overall love it.

Pirates Pearl
2021 Chevy Blazer RS...has all of the bells and whistles. My vehicle is iridescent Pearl with 21” rims. A true head turner. All of the features are easy to use and I especially like the lane assist. The Blazer has made a huge comeback!!! It’s a very comfortable ride with power and the Bose sound system makes this a stellar ride.

Although this is a four cylinder, it has a lot of power and a great pick when passing other vehicles. The cabin is comfortable and have all the bells and whistles of the modern tech world. I enjoy driving it. Very good choice.

Love my Blazer
I have the 2LT Blazer with the 2.0 Turbo. I had an 2018 Equinox with the 2.0 Turbo also. The engine in my Blazer has 24 less HP but it will still get up and go. The handling is very good along with being able to adjust the vehicle control systems based on different road conditions. The ride may not be the best but it is fine with me. All the safety systems are really nice and appreciated. I have to admit as I was looking for a new vehicle, engine performance and handling along with the safety features were my first priority. My blazer has the Redline Edition Package and it looks very nice to me anyway. I am very happy with my purchase. I am now 12,000 miles in and my Blazer is doing fine. I am averaging 28.7 mpg and really like the handling of the SUV. The safety features are great and have come in handy. So far I am very satisfied.

Break down 2021 Chevrolet Blazer RS after 2 days
Purchases new 2021 Blazer two days later we were left stranded. Diagnosis the converter failed causing the line pressure to drop from 120 psi to 30 psi after 3 min in addition to large metal pieces were found in the fluid. After two days our new 2021 blazer was towed to a Chevrolet mechanic because the transmitter had to be replaced. To say the least this what le experience was a nightmare that lasted over 3 months due to the lack of professionalism, communication between the dealership, mechanic, and particularly Chevrolet Corporate Office. We found them to be very uncooperative, uncaring, helpful, professional or compassionate to our situation refusing to do a “buy back” or refund us for all of our out of pocket expenses causing us to be $7,000 upside down on the purchase price when we traded it in for a Toyota. The dealerships are all independent and do not work together nor does the corporate office take any responsibility for any Chevrolet dealership. I honestly hope no one goes through what we have been through.

2021 Blazer in Cherry Red
Bold styling, smart amenities, performance rated, and a plush well thought out interior. Because of all the bells & whistles we opted for the GM extended warranty plan (Platinum plan that offers us an additional 3Years bumper to bumper coverage). We were surprised that this GM plan is available online for for $1,000 less than what the dealership offered us, they even confirmed it was the same plan.

Nice Crossover
Surprisingly fun to drive. I’ve been a loyal Lexus customer for years, but do not like any of their SUVs or crossovers. The Blazer doesn’t disappoint. Update: have had this car for nearly three years now and haven’t had any issues with it. So the reliability seems to be there too!

Snappy and agile
This is a very comfortable SUV. It's quick and maneuvers well. Ours has the Enhanced Convenience Package and the Driver Confidence II Package with adds tons of creature comforts like Bose speakers, heated and ventilated seats and 360 HD surround viewing. The RS comes standard with the 3.6 engine which is a must in my opinion. It has plenty of cargo space and if needed the back seats folds down flush to more than double the available cargo space (the rear seat cushion actually lowers to accommodate the flush cargo area). One thing we immediately bought was WeatherTech floor and cargo mats. The included floor mats are lame. A nice little touch is the illuminated bow tie rear hands free liftgate. It took a little practice to get it to work every time. Edmunds says the rear seating headroom is lacking, but I didn't find that true. I'm 6'1" and have no headroom or legroom issues when seating in the rear with the front seat set for me. The back seats also recline if you desire. The engine auto-stop drives me crazy in my Silverado, but luckily the Blazer is not as quick to shut down the engine and actually only rarely stops it. I'm not a fan of auto stop and would permanently disable it if I could. Wireless ApplePlay is nice and the wireless charging is handy. We're very happy with the Blazer and like the Rally Sport touches.

Silver 2LT V6 FWD
I like this Blazer a lot, it is comfortable, handles well, and has great acceleration (easy on the accelerator or you'll spin the front tires!). I added the Convenience package and changed the badges to black (instead of gold). It looks great and reasonably priced, get one!

Sporty, exciting, great handling the 2LT Turbo Eng
The Blazer 2LT has this quick acceleration while in sports mode that I handle very well, so easy to reb up on 80 mph on the express way maybe due the aerodynamic hood to windshield help to cut through wind burst. While cursing, the 2LT has one of the smoothest rides in a SUV

Catches your eye & fun to drive!
This is my 5th Chevy lease (3 Traverses then an Equinox) and I love it! I missed the Traverse when I downsized to the Equinox, & was so happy to upgrade to the '21 Blazer! I didn't think I'd need the 6Cyl, but after driving the turbo 4, which didn't drive much better than my Equinox, I drove the 6... what a difference! Much smoother ride all around. I highly suggest the 2LT, AWD (if you live in a state that has snow!), 6cyl. I'd also get it in the Midnight Edition as it looks SO MUCH better w/ the black rims! Otherwise, it looks good, but doesn't stand out as much. I'd also add the Convenience Package. Finally, the interior looks nice, but could look nicer. It didn't compare w/ the interior 2021 Nissan Rogue that I drove before driving the Blazer. However, I stuck w/ Chevy b/c it was just easier, my dealer is so easy to deal w/, & overall I love it. The space is perfectly fine all around, so I don't know what the complaints are all about regarding space. Get the Traverse if you need the 3rd row and more space.

2021 Chevy Blazer RS
This vehicle is a dream. Some rubbing noise while braking, but service technicians say no safety problem and replacement brake pad will eliminate. It has been over a year, and the brake pads are still on back order, or not available. I did not think that would happen on an item that is probably safety related.

Very Happy and Satisfied
The ride is smooth and comfortable. Handling is responsive and quick. I traded a 2019 Impala Premier for this 2022 Blazer RS because I needed to be able to tow a trailer. The blacked-out emblems and 20" black wheels give it a distinctive look. The RS does not have the upgraded sound system that I had in the Impala, but my RS sounds great using my apple music app thru the car... My wife offered me her Lincoln MKT for my Blazer RS - I declined...

Rattle can
Overall the blazer is a good suv. Great power. Good driver. However, the doors have rattling noise. Took it to a dealer and they could not resolve the issue. There is a Chevy service bulletin regarding this that admits it may not fix the problem. Service personnel followed the bulletin fix and it made the noise worse. Should not have this issue on a new $44k suv.

Okay
Lots of power, lots of features (RS version), nice styling inside and out, some problems. Need to move location of parking button, easy to hit entering/ exiting car. Seats could definitely use a redesign, not particularly supportive or comfortable. Implementation of Android auto is poor - lose connection occasionally (never had this issue with my Sorentos). Lane keep assist is too aggressive - if I move over a little to give a person walking their dog more room, the vehicle really fights me to move back. Ended up turning this feature off. If I had to do it over, I would have considered other vehicles more seriously.

Test Drove it only
I loved the looks and the V6 engine, it has power unlike the Equinox which tries to make do with a 1.5 turbo. But the sticker price is steep considering how small this vehicle is. This is an overpriced vehicle. Heading elsewhere if I am going to spend this kind of money on a new SUV

Need Help
I love my car, however at 3,000 miles check engine light came on. I waited for 1 month for a chip to repair it. At 6,000 miles the car stopped at my driveway and had to be hauled to the dealership, that was 4/4/2023. My car is still at the dealership waiting on parts to repair it. I filed a complaint with GMC, they in turn agreed to pay for a rental car. I am into the 4th month and have not been reimbursed on cent for the rental. I will never buy another GMC product.

Just awesome!
I owe the 2021 Blazer RS and it is a great car. I have had it for a year and it just a pleasure to drive and ride in; big enough for 5 people, fast enough to take on any other vehicles, super nice inside - overall a great car. Im planning to enjoying it for a long time.

Very nice vehicle
The Blazer is a very smooth ride and spacious. I am really enjoying it.
I love this car way too much.
It is the best looking vehicle in any parking lot. My husband is handicapped so stays in the car while I shop. People stop and ask him on a regular basis what he is driving (if their not familiar with the new Blazer) and if they are, they comment on how good looking it is. It is midnight blue metallic with a black on black look. 21 inch wheels. It is a showstopper. I'm not a fan of the control setup on the console. It is hard to see/read and awkward in my opinion. It has plenty of power and I love driving it.

Fun City Commuter
I had the 2021 Blazer for a month while my Audi Q5 was in the shop. The interior was ok with plastics I wasn’t used to , and some soft touch materials spread around the cabin one thing to point out is the climate vents being in the weirdest place in correspondence with the Camaro-ish design and it’s inability to reach your face so the top half of your body from shoulders up get pretty hot, seeing it’s summer here even with AC on max.The blazer I had was equipped with the rather thirsty 3.6 V6 with 308 Hp which was plenty powerful , rough and relatively loud with a nice exhaust note. Its shifts were smooth when in regular drive but put it in sport and the transmission gets confused and abruptly downshifts because of its many gears ,thus leading to the front wheels to scream for traction. One downside of the blazer would be the transmission. It didn’t shift the easiest especially when trying to row through all 9 gears. The suspension was alright with not much ground clearance though, so off-roading was off the table for me in fear of scratching the underside. Overall the Chevy blazer is a bang for your buck especially considering the practicality with the moderately large cargo area, nice sound system with available Apple CarPlay and spacious cabin.

2021 Blazer
Everything that we expected, except rubbing noise when braking - waiting for a brake pad to come in.
Awesomely Fantastic
I traded in a 2015 Cadillac Escalade for this 2022 Premier and cannot think of one negative. Well, maybe one. Living in snow country having more ground clearance would be helpful. I have the v6 engine and in man driving am getting 24.5 mpg. The ride is great and the handling is superb. I highly recommend this vehicle.

Frustrating, annoying and a disappointment
When I heard of the Blazer making a comeback I and then saw it for the first time, I automatically knew I would own one well now that I do I wish I didn’t. Here is why: 1. Whoever programmed this computer system needs to go back to school this [non-permissible content removed] is so annoying especially if you are like me and always on business calls. Not only is it frustrating there is nothing they can do to fix it. I literally want to return my vehicle for this reason! 2. No one and I mean no one has rims to match the bolt pattern. I have searched every where I even have family in the tire and wheel industry and they can’t either. Only Chevy sells them they only have one option which cost over $4000 for a set which is ridiculous! 3. Make sure you check your tires I purchased mine in November and already need new ones

Poor Handling
Issues with my 2021 Blazer RS. On ice it wanders and pulls, especially on uneven or rough roads. Strong winds cause it to be harder to handle on the road. Had a wheel alignment done and it made it worse, no resolve from GM.

Loved our 2019 Blazer, so no problem getting a 2022. Great ride, comfortable riding, and good gas mileage. This automobile handles great in all kinds of weather and looks good, too!

3LT V6 AWD, Infotainment sys. ruins best crossover
(NOTE: Trim in title because no on dropdown list below.) Great looks, great V6 engine, trans shifts/downshifts perfectly, seats great... ruined by infotainment system. Everytime you start the car, the radio comes on so you have to press the mute button to shutoff. When out of town, that means you're greeted by static, even more annoying. Hated to do it as otherwise was a FABULOUS car, but traded it in

2021 2LT Turbo
The number one reason for leasing this car was its front row width. Our Equinox was a bit tight in the front row, although it had plenty of cargo space and better fuel economy (33mpg highway on trips) This Blazer gets up to 29 mpg. It has excellent acceleration if you need it, Id say biased primarily toward low end acceleration. I find the suspension too stiff, almost jarring compared to my 95 Montecarlo LTZ. The Montecarlo was one of the better ridding cars I've owned recently. I've ridden in Oldsmobiles from the 80's that were way better and practically ALL cars from the 60's and 70's were much, much better! I have a 2002 Silverado that rides better in my opinion. They talk like lasting 200,000 miles is some sort of big deal, but I know several people who've gotten over 400,000 miles from Silverado's with LS small blocks, so I'm not impressed with only 200K... All in fall, though, this isn't a bad car for short trips and it's a good grocery getter. I live in Michigan where we don't encounter mountainous driving though, no high altitudes, but if we did, I'd expect the turbo to be a plus. We just have 2-wheel drive. If it's too snowy and the roads are bad, it's not a big deal since we're both retired and don't really have to go anywhere .

Perfect combination of tech and manual creature features. Roomy interior with fantastic curb appeal. Economy of a 4 cylinder with the turbo kick that makes you feel like you have a V-8 when you need it!
52,000 + miles and still runs great!
I have a 2021 3LT Blazer and it’s an awesome vehicle. The only issue is there have been 2 engine sensors that crapped out, but they were under the power train warranty so there was no cost to me. Has the power (308HP), looks great and handles well. I would highly recommend!

First Chevy won’t be my last
I bought it because I was having my first kid, I have had 3 fords in the past bronco f-150 and a edge, blazer looked like a suv that can do what I wanted but not look like a mom car, I haven’t had issues with it for almost a year now I bought mine pre owned has a great warranty from Chevy. Only issue I had was the windshield washer sprayer on the driver side broke. It was fixed in 3 hours for free by Chevy. I have the v6 AWD , which is the only blazer I would reccomend a FWD 4 cylinder are not as reliable from what u heard and less capable , I have towed with the blazer as well and the gas milage goes down a lot but no surprise it’s a suv, over all daily driving the interior sound is quite loud but doesn’t bother me and helps my son sleep so it’s a bonus for me , the back up camera glitches some times but I would rather have small issues like that than motor faults the safety features are very reliable and accurate and I love them, and daily driving in AWD I get around 25mpg on the city with liberal use of the gas pedal and using premium fuel. Overall this car made me want another Chevy.
