Ram 1500 Rev EV Delayed Until 2026
The Ram 1500 Ramcharger extended-range EV will arrive first, in 2025
The Ram 1500 Rev — Stellantis' all-electric full-size truck — won't arrive until 2026, the company confirmed Wednesday. The EV pickup was originally expected to launch by the end of 2024, and as of this writing, Ram's consumer-facing website still says the truck is "coming Q4 of 2024," of which there are only two weeks left.
In the meantime, Ram says the 1500 Ramcharger extended-range EV will arrive first, with customer order books opening in "the first half of 2025." The Ramcharger uses a 92-kWh battery pack and two electric motors, one at each axle. However, there's also a 174-horsepower gas engine under the truck's hood, which acts as an onboard generator to power the battery.

Ram says that, with a fully charged battery and full tank of fuel, the 1500 Ramcharger is expected to have a total driving range of 690 miles. Other preliminary specifications suggest the truck will make 663 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque, and should be able to pull off a 0-60 mph time of 4.4 seconds. The Ramcharger is also said to be able to tow 14,000 pounds and carry 2,625 pounds of payload.
The electric-only Ram 1500 Rev is also expected to have towing and payload ratings of 14,000 pounds and 2,625 pounds, respectively, and its standard 168-kWh battery should deliver a driving range of around 350 miles. Ram says a larger 229-kWh battery pack will arrive later, increasing range to 500 miles. That latter option was originally planned to launch in "model year 2026," but it's anyone's guess if that'll still be the case.
