2014 Cadillac CTS Coupe Performance 2dr Coupe (3.6L 6cyl 6A)

I leased a 2011 CTS coupe new from Penske Cadillac in L.A. As many have mentioned, I was drawn to the unique stying and being set apart from so many other cookie-cutter cars. I've owned or leased 30 new cars over the years. All coupes. Among them were a Mercedes and two Porsche 928's. The Cad was and is my all-time favorite. Rear seats are meaningless to me. So all the critiques about small rear seats are not important. Anyway, when the lease was up I hated to give the car up but going into semi-retirement I didn't want to fork over what it would cost to keep it. So in the successive ten years I have always regretted not keeping. So last week I started searching for a replacement because used prices are now down pretty low. I found a 2014 Performance model with only 37,000 miles. But to be honest, the car looks brand new. Not a paint chip or blemish to be found anywhere. And it rides and drives like a new car. And every thing I remembered that I liked about the car came back. To me it's a near perfect combination of ride and handling. Sure you can get a BMW or Mercedes that will go around a corner faster but it will ride like a truck. The Cad glides over bumps and rough spots smoothly and quietly. The 318 HP V6 is more than adequate. I've been a speed freak my whole life and have had several 500+ HP hot rods but when can you actually use all that power? I thought about getting a used CTS-V but would probably kill myself with that kind of power. I love this car even though it's 9 years old. It's brand new to me and for a fraction of what a new car costs. I plan on this being my very last car. I'm 89 and still cooking.
