BUICK REATTA
HAVE HAD THE REATTA FOR 14 YEARS. MAINTENANCE HAS BEEN MIMIMAL.OIL IS CHANGED EVERY 3000 MILES.WHEN LIVING UP NORTH, THE CAR WAS STORED FOR THE WINTER.NEVER SAW SNOW OR SALT. THE "FLIP UP" HEADLIGHTS WERE FIXED TWICE BY MYSELF BY GOING ON THE REATTA SITE (LOTS OF GOOD INFO THERE)AND THE BRAKE ACCUMULATOR HAS BEEN REPLACED. OTHER THAN THOSE, THAT IS IT.
FUN
When I first saw my car listed I was kind of skeptical. I have always thought of buick as making reliable cars but cars for an older generation. I usually look at them and say "that looks like a really nice car but it is just not my style." But, when I saw my car I immediately fill in love with it. The styling was way ahead of its time and is still not dated it reminds me of a sports car you would see on a dealers lot today. I have had this car for over a year and have had ZERO problems with it. Which I think is pretty good considering age. It was built to last.
Fun
If Buick still made these I would buy a new one in a heartbeat.
Great automobile
I have two Reattas, one coupe and one convertible, both 1990 vintage. Both cars require little to no maintenance, are fun to drive, get admiring stares from other drivers, and frequently a ,"what kind of car is that"? I have owned dozens of cars over my lifetime, but this little auto is by far the most comfortable roadster ever built in the USA. If you are able, buy one!
Classic Car
Great little car, excellent handling and performance. Hand built in Michigan, build quality excellent. This car is bound to be a collectable classic, since not many were built.
Buick Reatta 89 Coupe
Everything worked when I got the car, and there have been only minor glitches. Rides very quietly but handles well. Sound quality of upscale cassette deck and radio w touch screen great. Touch controls are simple and fun to operate. Gas mileage quickly improved after first month of real driving, to where 28 highway, 19 city is common, and on 87 octane. GM 3800 engine more than adequate on light car. Build quality and paint are fantastic as it was practically a hand made car. About the only thing I fault on this car is that the brakes seem a little weak, and they have been inspected bled etc.
1991 Buick Reatta
I purchased my Red 1991 Buick Reatta coupe in January of 2018 with 109,000 miles on it. Its paint is original and the Saddle colored interior is still in better than expected condition. My car now has 117,000 miles on it and is a pleasure to own and drive! Having the "bullet-proof 3800 engine" and being built on the Buick Riviera frame (only 9 inches shorter) it rides with the comfort of my '89 Riviera and gets 27 mpg on the hwy, while handling like a sports car. The maintenance cost has been low and the mechanical parts are relatively inexpensive. Its unique styling always has me answering the question " what is is and who made it"! I don't know what other inexpensive car gives you exclusivity, style, roominess, comfort, quality and low cost maintenance in a single vehicle like the Buick Reatta does. If you can find a '91, it's worth considering owning one'

Always fun to drive
I have always been very pleased with the car, why else would I have kept it for 16 years! It was always fun to drive, both in the city and on the open road.
Fun Fun Fun
Great birthday present! Fun to drive. Accceleration is decent. Handling is excellent. Get lots of looks and positive comments when out 7 about. Easy to drop the top, even though it's a manual process. Had pop-up headlights repaired, and power window driver side needs replacement, and thats's all. Currently have 54k miles on her.
Great Car
I love this car, mine is solid black which gives it a super clean sleek look drives and handles like a dream, steering is super tight
'90 Reatta Coupe
Well built, dependable cruiser. Great driver, not a speedster. Antiquated ABS system is only flaw.
Miss Red
Driving the Buick Reatta was an experience I never had with any other cars I've driven. I felt such joy and excitement showing off this beautiful red sports car. I felt like a special person driving my Reatta! Whenever Red needed to be fixed and was their for her. Maintance and the oil change was very important to me. My Reatta was special to me and I still value Red. Whenever something is wrong I try my best to get her fixed. As the years go by it seem to be very frustrating, not being able to maintain the up keep for Red. The parts for Red is very hard to locate or find at the automotive shop as well as the dealers. Now I feel helpless, trying to maintain Red to keep her up and running.
REALLY NICE CAR, BUT NO A BULLET.
I have had the car for three years. It is a convertable and fun to drive. It is really comfortable with a big trunk. And, it is loaded with every option. I wanted a reliable collector car with comfort and all the bells and whistles, and that's what I got. I have had no problems, and get to drive it everyday. Parts are still available, also. My friends have older collector cars they only drive on Sunday's and spend more time fixing them than driving them. Not me, I enjoy using my car.
My white on white trim very rare
I have rebuilt almost the entire car. Only thing I have left is interior seats. Some simple external fixes. This car has new engine, 1990 Buick replacement engine, new transmission, air, original paint white on white trim which is a special order. Car is fun to drive, new top, great tires, I love it!
The Modern Classic
This is my second Reatta. The first was an 89 coupe purchased with 40000 miles on it. It now has 200000 on it and is still ready for cross country touring. The 91 convertible has been trouble free and driven every day for nearly 100000 miles. The only critism is that the motors that operate the headlamps tend to wear at about 100000 miles and are expensive to replace. Both cars still generate "neat car" comments from young and old. Repairs and maintenence are no different nor any more costly than any other GM car. They do however seem to be less frequent. If my garage was big enough I might try to find another one and start a real collection!!!
buick reatta
nice car, fun to drive, nice 165hp 3.8L V6, 210lb torque , all around fun car
A keeper
I purchased this vehicle in the spring of 2000. At the time it had 110,000 miles on it. It ran and drove as great as it looked. However, being an avid automotive DYI nut, I replaced all shocks/struts, breaks, H2O hoses, water pump, and tune-up items. I have enjoyed over 5,000 trouble free miles since and expect many 10ths of thousand more. Interior space is very generous and the trunk will hold more then enough luggages for any trip planed. This car is truly a well kept secret. I time its true spot in Buick history will be recognized. If you are fortunate enough to purchase one of these hand crafted Buicks, be prepared for a lot of attention from strangers young and old, male and female.
1987 Buick Reatta
I purchased this auto with 65,000 miles. I have given it normal maintence and never had a problem. If possible I would purchase an other one just like it. However, with this many miles I think I must look for a new one and put this away as a toy.
Buicks rocks my world
fast little car, good handling, cool interior, sporty look, moon roof, electronic dash/guages, leather
