This vehicle is replacing both a 2017 Z71 Tahoe and a 2015 BMW M235i Convertible so it has big shoes to fill. It’s beautiful. The ride is superior. It’s not a sport car but it still is enjoyable to drive and has a punch. The seats are quite comfortable and we are looking forward to our first road trip to the ocean. This car serves has to be comfortable and accessible for two elderly parents with mobility and pain issues and be enjoyable for the driver as well, a car enthusiast. I got the bench seat so it will fold flat but did not sacrifice second row comfort by forgoing the captain’s chairs. We are unlikely to use the third row but need the room for walkers and so on back there and for packing up to go to on weekend getaways. Very happy so far. Tanzanite Blue with Luxury Trim (chrome vs black) is my new favorite color! Gorgeous.

Owned 2021 BMW X7 X40i and loved it so much I bought a 2025 X40i. I gave a 4/5 star for performance on the old model but I now it give it 5/5. The acceleration is much more head swinging. If you are cross shopping this with GLS, which most likely you are. The ride is quite different between the two trucks even though they serve the same function. The X7 drives like silk, more fluid, while the GLS’s drive feels like cotton, more pillow-ish. Unless you go for the Ebody option, the ride in the GLS is unremarkable, but the X7 feels very special on the road. It’s so planted yet so light on its feet. You can burn other large 3 rows at will. I would say the only other 3 row suv that feels special to drive is the RR. But I really don’t want to mess with that reliability. My old X7 had a little over 100K miles on it before I traded it in, and I never had one single issue.

We got our 2023 X7 and right away started having issues. The driver side seat belt was twisted and when we tried to get BMW to fix it, they said it was not a warranty issue!!! After complaining they dealer agreed to replaced the belt. Also multiple errors with the driver assist and now they are saying I need to pay $1000 to replace the front sensors because it was damaged due to a pebble!!! Again not warranty coverage. The car has been in the shop for 3 weeks not and still not fixed. Waiting for a part from Germany. There are better cars out there so stay away from this model.

I had 2021 x7 prior to my new 2024 custom order. 21 did not have B&W, wireless charger, and Active Steering. I hated the vernasca leather(hard) and the hi-fi stereo were inferior to most. So, my new x7 I loaded with B&W, merino leather, and Active Steering. The car is awesome so far. Fast, excellent sound system, and Active Steering is nice at turn. Looks and drives better than GLS.

Got the vehicle in December of 22 and I took it in for service in march with noise in the brakes and I was told that normal give it time to brake in oil change popped up on the dash when it was not time to change also sos malfunction light keeps popping up on dash brakes still have the same issue , and last month took the vehicle in because it lounging forward when driving, took it in and that resulted in the vehicle needing a transmission at fourteen thousand miles after picking up the Vehicle, when transmission replaced my windshield wipers was knocking on the driver side they said has nothing to do with the transmission took it back for noise on the brakes and as of today it’s the same problem. More problems with this X7 on Sunday coming from church the screen went blank all by itself drove home with blank screen took the vehicle off then waited about ten minutes and decided to start it and the screen came back on. I called my service advisor and I was told to bring it in so I have an appointment for tomorrow will keep you posted.
