I took delivery of my 545iA last weekend. It is the best car I have ever driven! Fast, luxurious, stunning and it has a great sound system. I don't understand the complaints about the iDrive. It's not that complicated and it keeps the front dash simple and sleek. If you have the brains to afford this car, you have the brains to figure out the iDrive. Great car!

I love the way the car handles with its AFSteering system. Idrive is very easy and idiot can figure it out with some time spent using it.

I have owned the '04 530i since October. I absolutely love this car. Everything you would expect from BMW. Ride, performance and handling are great. I'm not sure what all the noise around iDrive is about. I find it very straight forward and easy to use.I have had to go in twice for service. The SOS feature was not functioning properly at delivery and the iDrive dispay panel had to be replaced (recall). A bit frustrating at the time, but now all is well.
Beyond expectations!!

What a car!!! ordered loaded with great anticipation. The car is beautiful to look at, way fun to drive, comfortable, and easy to get to know. No unpleasent surprises or issues. It's everything BMW promises it to be and more!!

Okay, consider the source, here. I am upgrading to the best class of car I have ever owned, but I know what a good and great car is. This is somewhere between good and great. I like what the Germans do with their cars. I like the way they build them. I like the way they design them, but the 530i is high maintenance. However, treat it right, and it will continue to make you happy. The handling on the 530i is unbeatable for a luxury sedan. The engine performance is deceptively good, not great, but good. Nevertheless, the interior is second to none. The looks combined with the great handling and good performance make it barely worth the price for me.
