I like the coupe-like SUV styling, having driven an Infiniti FX50 for many years. But the Q8 adds in two areas where the Infiniti fell a bit short. The interior quality and technology are top notch. Very quiet interior with upscale materials and excellent fit and finish. The tech works well, and though I do miss the buttons of yesteryear cars, the Audi system works very well for its layout, the interaction between the screens and the haptic response. I also appreciate that Audi designers took the time to integrate the screens into the dash and didn’t just plop a screen on top as if were an afterthought. The other area of improvement is space. There is plenty of second row room making it very comfortable for passengers. While the angle of the hatch impedes some measure of cargo space, for the most part it works well enough for me as I rarely stack cargo up to the ceiling. The depth from the hatch to rear seats lets me fit all my kids gear and still have room for errand shopping. It has very good power, especially once in motion. No worries when taking an on ramp at speed or passing on highways. There is some initial sluggishness from a standstill in normal drive mode, but set it in Sport (simply another tap on the gear selector) and it adds the expected response from this engine/transmission. It handles very well. In hindsight I may have opted for the rear wheel steering option to improve handling (spent my $$ on the Year One, Prestige, and Luxury options) but even that option won’t make it a Porsche Macan. It is a 5k pound vehicle. After a month of ownership, I’m very pleased with my purchase. Feels upscale, drives great, and checks the boxes for practicality.

I purchased my Q8 late March '19. The vehicle has been amazing thus far and I do not regret the purchase. I have all of the options less the $5k stereo and night vision. I bought one off the lot that had just arrived with the major options I wanted: (Prestige, Lux Pkg, Year One, Adaptive Chassis, Tow Pkg, Cold Weather Pkg). I actually went to the dealer to test drive a Q7 and saw a Q8 in the showroom. Test drove one the next day and decided right then it was a Q8. Two months of intense research, learning as much as I could about the vehicle, and checking inventories, I made the purchase. The GREAT: Drives more like a car than an SUV. Handles great. Feels solid on the road and feels safe. The driver safety features are amazing. I fell in love with the interior on the first day - no other vehicle on the market (outside of Audi) has such a nicely integrated dash and technology. None! It looks nice. I've seen a handful on the road since I bought mine and they look great! The back seat space is huge - no complaints from any passengers. You feel pampered in this vehicle, for sure. Towing capacity is 7700 ibs. (Haven't towed with it yet.) The 'BAD': It is easy to go fast without even trying or realizing how fast you're going! I've hit triple digits making a simple pass and it was unintentional. Be careful with this vehicle or you'll get a ticket for sure! There isn't much cabin storage. There is no remote start (I guess it's illegal in Germany so they don't put it on their US imports either.) European models have self parking (via phone app) which is not on US models ?? That would be amazing. UPDATED REVIEW: OCT 2020 Still an amazing vehicle. No issues with the car. The MMI has blacked out once or twice but has come back on its own or after an MMI reset (holding down the volume knob for 10 seconds). I have just under 15k miles. Everything works well. Car still runs smooth and still feels solid with no rattles or squeaks. Fit and finish are excellent. As of this date, I would definitely buy this vehicle again.

The turbo lag isn’t a lag - It’s an after-thought! It takes forever to respond. The oil-overfilled warning light has a faulty system design and Audi has TSB out about it, but no fix. The auto stop & start cuts off too quickly (while you are still rolling) and it starts up roughly. It adds to the huge turbo lag. The SUV is beautiful inside and out. Once you get rolling, the drive is wonderful! It does need a little more power and torque-say 30 more hp.

Great sporty car. have it for 3 days now. definitely a head turner. I bought silver color s line package . with its 22 inch sporty wheels chrome based outer lining, it looks exceptional. Interior is super sleek with 3 screens and it just looks exceptional. Very roomy and luxurious interior. Seats are comfortable. Back seats are very comfortable and roomy.

The Q8 drives like a car with plenty of grip and a very comfortable ride. The interior is very quiet and the car rides so well even with 5 adults. It looks awesome. Audi did a great job with the design of this SUV. The power and torque could have been better but still the Q8 can go. I am really pleased so far.
