This is a wonderful car and excellent in so many ways, family loves it. Some negatives...Drivers middle column storage area is smallish in the way of compartments for your phones and small objects, mildly irritating. The cars auto cruise control and related Audi pre sense sensors failed to detect a red pickup truck in front of me stopped at a red light and did not decelerate the SUV and I had to quickly apply the brakes scaring my wife. Sometimes the auto steering will just shut off in the middle of turn??? Trust issues at this point so I just don’t use the autopilot except for long drives. Rear hatch will not open by waving foot under sensor 8 out of 10 times. Possibly related to towing package interfering with sensor. Had this car a month. Update: At the 12 month mark...This car was damaged just at the rear right bumper and quarter panel after a driver was traveling too fast from behind and hit the car. The repairs from Audi Certified auto Center in Tysons Va were assessed at $37,700 with about $12,000 in parts. They only have 2 certified techs from Germany. The aluminum on this car can be quite expensive and requires higher labor rates to repair. Expected repair time 2 months!!!! Total loss then declared by insurance. For a minor accident? That being said...Car is so nice I bought another 2019 Q7 with luxury package. No longer own the the 2018

2018 Q7 3.0T Premium Plus Quatro. The car is luxurious, holds the road great, and even has a nice smooth ride, SOMETIMES. If your freeways are often like the freeways in Los Angeles, be prepared to bounce like you're in a U-HAUL, and it's miserable! It's amazing that such an expensive, high-end SUV, has such a disparity with the drive. At times, it's so smooth and comfortable, and other times, it's bouncy and horrible. The head Audi technician brought me a new, identical car to the one we leased, to test drive exactly where I frequent, and it was the same! Even he was baffled and disappointed as to the "bounciness" of the drive. Just a side note, it's difficult to get into the car without your knee smashing into the dashboard if you're short. I am 5' 1" and it took me a few bruises on the knee until I got used to carefully & slowly getting into the car as to not bash myself on the lower portion of the dashboard. The cup holders are quite small and you'll need to purchase coffee mugs with a narrow bottom diameter.

This Audi 2018 Q7 SUV drives really well, much more of a driver’s car than the 17 Lexus RX350h I drive.Very quiet and the tech is really well done. I had one for a half day test drive. Front area storage is very limited. Tiny cup holders and very shallow bins. Like a lot of new cars, they use that high gloss piano black trim which shows smudges like crazy. This was the prestige trim. The ride was very good, solid as a vault, I imagine the air suspension would be awesome. Ultimately, however, the quoted lease price was about 50 % higher than a comparable 18 Lexus GX. The GX is waaay behind the Audi in tech and style but my wife feels safer being up high in the Lexus. Both stickered at about 72k and I find it hard to justify 1300 a month vs 800 for 36 months with nothing down.

As a 2013 A8L 4.0 owner and 2015 Q7 TDI... I didn’t expect to change to our 2018 Q7 3.0 Prestige, Bang & O, Black out Optics package, Night vision, run flat all season tires. Cold weather. We live in Idaho and drive weekly up a 90 mile canyon. Long grades and many tight turns. NOTHING COMPARES to how well this 2018 performed! I changed from comfort to dynamic and although there was a noticeable difference in hugging the turns, comfort handled amazingly well! We ended up running comfort the rest of the trip. Unbelievably quiet. Far more than my 2015 Q7. My last comment to my wife- “You are driving an A8 SUV!”

Car rides very good and I am happy in owning the car . There are few things that stops me in giving. 5 star are some strange problems I am facing in the car like 1. The driver side door does not close properly every time I need to do a second or thrird slam to close it . 2 the lane assist works when ever it wants it most of the time off not sure if it has to do anything with temperature as I live in Minnesota it acts very strange . 3 the Audi stop and go does the stop but never starts back on it’s own ve lot of embarrassing moments in traffic . 4. No proper manual or troubleshooting steps available online . 5. My friend need a jumpstart could locate the battery terminal under the hood it’s all covered .
