Late starting
I have the same problem the first gentleman that wrote his report on the first page. The car starts but sometimes 1/10 starts it takes roughly 4 seconds. The dealer has changed the fuel pump cleaned the carburetors and still has that exact problem. They then told me that fuel pump was 25 percent efficient that's why it was replaced. They then took it again and check it online with Germany and said intake manifold. The part was replaced but the problem is still there.
Nice Car
From the day that I picked this baby up I was impressed with the look and power of the 4.2L V8 engine. As a sedan this is my first Audi and first V8 engine in a sedan. I have tested many cars of course and this is far the best. I love the feature of the navigation, very easy to use, Bose Audio System even better then my 150,000 Porsche, and love the fact that you don't need to start with the key. But a little odd that you can't open the passenger door without the key. Anyway the car is beautiful and I would heartily recommend this car.

My First Audi
Lots of comfort for a family of 5. The smooth ride and elegant design steams 100% luxury. Electronics are ideally positioned (better than Mercedes). Plenty of truck space. I feel protected with the advanced safety features. Small discomforts are engine sounds during quick acceleration on highway and 2nd cupholder under armrest. This will NOT be my only great-looking Audi.
Love to Drive
I have owned my A6 for four years and 70k miles. Problems: 1. Trunk latch needed replacing at 10k. 2. Push button start would not work at 30k but only needed a software update. 3. Brake pads replaced twice and rotors once. 4. back up sensors stopped working at 53k just after warranty expired. 5. Something is rattling in the door at 75k and will have it checked out. I have low profile, performance tires and need to replace at each 25k. However, I have had to replace five tires due to damage. That's all the bad. The good is that the car is very attractive, solid and drives great. Lots of fun. Overall, I am very happy with the car would recommend it to anyone.
2005 Audi A6 Nightmare
I purchased the 2005 A6 on 11/22/04. It has been the absolute worst car purchase I've ever made. Since the purchase I had a total of 5 separate issues, including issues with the seats, loud engine noise, car needing to warm up when first starting, and both front seats shaking and rattling. While everyone at the dealership is professional, there is a level of defensiveness that exists. Their first reaction is that there is nothing wrong with the car, it's the driver. I've had 7 cars in the last 10 years and I've never experienced these many issues. The worst part is that the customer advocates in Mich are unresponsive & not helpful. I wrote to the VP on 1/3.
