What an excellent car
This is a solid, well-designed Audi with a lot of pickup for a 4 cylinder.
A4 Effort
This is my 2nd Audi, and by far this A4 is a big imrovement over my last Audi. I love the style, handling, interior and exterior build quality and the little touches Audi built into this car. I look for twisty roads to drive and I smile every day I am in this car. I give Audi a big A 4 effort !!

Audi A4 1.8T (Manual)
I bought this car three weeks ago. It's everything I expected: Refined design, subtle but present performance, and excellent handling. Only a week ago, a duck and her ducklings suddently apperared out of nowhere as I was doing 50 mph. I slammed on the brakes and found out what a well-designed, great braking saystem does for you. If I would have done the same on my previous Jeep I would have been all over the road. This baby slowed down fastly but very steady and on a straight line. Perfect.
Looks Good, Runs Bad
I bought this car instead of a 325xi, what a mistake. Horrible initial build quality. Driver's seat squeaks constantly, dealer refuses to acknowledge problem. Every time it snows(which is what I bought the car for)the windshield wipers freeze or the motor locks up and the wipers remain stuck right in the line of vision. I am also experiencing crazy electrical problems, I will turn off the esp and my turn signal will activate and my headlights will shut off. Now there is a re-call for the ignition coil. The Bose stereo is nice, just don't try to listen to it with the sunroof open. I Want My 1999 2.8 Q Back ! What was audi thinking.
Drives nice but unrekiable
I've had my 2002 A4 Quattro for one year. On the plus side, the car is fun to drive, comfortable and looks great. However the negatives quickly overwhelm any positive aspects of this car. In the first year the car was immobilized for 29 days at the dealer waiting for a new ignition coil. In addition I've had 2 radios replaced and many minor electrical problems. I've lost all confidence in reliability of the car and prefer our 5 year old, 88,000 mile Subaru Outback for longer trips.I hate to think what problems I'll have after the warranty expires. I doubt if I will ever buy another Audi.
