Good thing there's a 50K warranty
Love the A4 for its looks, both interior and exterior, and truly is a fun car to drive. It's comfortable yet sporty, with a tight ride. Just try to do doughnuts in the snow - this thing grips like a vice. The Bose system is awesome. Had an oil leak at 25K, the recall for the coils, door lock and horn stopped working and both needed to be replaced, and now there's a noticeably rough idle and strong gas/exhaust smell that appeared out of nowhere, but dealer says nothing found. Not a long term keeper in my opinion, but an excellent 3 year or 4 year car for the ride, handling and status.
1.8T is a little underpowered
This a great car and for the first eight months I absolutely loved the performance in this car. Then I bought my wife a Turbo S Beetle which has the same engine and I got to realize that this car's weight counts against having the 1.8T motor. The A4 has a lot of turbo lag under 3000 rpm which you don't feel in the Beetle with the same engine. I have a manual shift and quattro and it has the best roadholding in the world. Awesome motorcar. Next time, I'll go with the 3.0 or the S4, although at least this way I don't get the speeding fines I would with the 3.0

2002 Audi A4
I love the double exhaust. In and out, the car feels great. I was glad I didn't get the Passat. More importantly, I chose this car over the likes of C-Class and the 3-Series.
Audi A4
As close to being a perfect car. Everyone who hops into my new car gets wowed by the interior. This is especially true at night. But there is some getting used to in terms of the perfect seat positioning, as I came from a sport coupe.
Looks Good, Runs Bad
I bought this car instead of a 325xi, what a mistake. Horrible initial build quality. Driver's seat squeaks constantly, dealer refuses to acknowledge problem. Every time it snows(which is what I bought the car for)the windshield wipers freeze or the motor locks up and the wipers remain stuck right in the line of vision. I am also experiencing crazy electrical problems, I will turn off the esp and my turn signal will activate and my headlights will shut off. Now there is a re-call for the ignition coil. The Bose stereo is nice, just don't try to listen to it with the sunroof open. I Want My 1999 2.8 Q Back ! What was audi thinking.
